Lakes Aquarium
Lakeside, Newby Bridge, UlverstonReally liked visiting here. Set on the shores of Lake Windermere, there are many different animals to see at the aquarium. Everything from otters to fish, snakes, mice and all manner of other animals.
The aquarium is laid out well and allows you to get up close and see the little beasties. My personal favourite was the otters. They look like a little friendly pack. On the day we visited there were not many other visitors so we were lucky enough to be able to watch them for a while.
The only negative if you can call it that is that the car park is pay and display. To be honest, it isn't really a worry.
All round a nice facility with a great selection of animals.

Oscar's Cafe
1st Floor of the Station Building, LakesideThere was a mix-up with our food and the man (manager?) was incredibly apologetic and quick to rectify the mistake. The food was good and a decent portion for the price. However, it seems the cafe is understaffed.
