Lovely little pub on a nice walk. Good local beer selection, including a gluten-free option. Landlord was a great host, especially considering we turned up with a big group, no notice and three dogs!
One of the few remaining authentic pubs in The Peak. If you drive a white BMW or have plastic eyelashes you'll hate it; if you want character, authenticity and everything that isn't corporate and confected, you'll love it. Places like this must be supported by those who care about what's happening to our country pubs.

Great old style pub, over 250 years old it’s nothing fancy but it has fresh thornbridge beer which is perfect after a good walk. Landlord was lovely will definitely be coming back. Dog friendly which is a huge bonus.
