Me and my partner have just enjoyed another tasty meal at the old station. The Christmas menu is currently available and what a delicious 3 courses for £24. We are left feeling very full and the service was very efficient and friendly.
This is a difficult one. We enjoyed our visit. The food was good and there was plenty of it. Staff were friendly and helpful. I was disappointed there were no local ales on tap - or even any good ales (just the ubiquitous Coors Doombar). Food options on the menu are limited and basic. The pub was a bit cold and not very cosy (log burning stove needed in the main eating area). It's also more expensive than other pubs in the area for both food and drinks. Getting late and first place I passed serving food travelling from M5 to Woolacombe so dropped in. I was the only diner but a few people in the bar. Food order taken and served quick, freshly prepared, good portion sizes and tasty. They forgot to bring the water requested but, other than that, no issues.
