Absolutely lovely pub, we came 5 years ago and visited again during our break. Food was superb, lovely friendly atmosphere. Staff were the best and super friendly. Lovely locals in the bar.

Last week, my husband, son, and I visited Catkin Bloom Café in Winkleigh, and it was absolutely lovely! The café is a peaceful oasis filled with vibrant plants, creating a cozy, garden-like atmosphere. It’s the kind of place that instantly makes you feel at ease, like you’ve stepped into a hidden gem. We enjoyed hot chocolate so delicious, it made winter feel a little warmer, and shared a slice of cake between the three of us. The cake was so good that we almost had to fight over the last bite—definitely worth the visit on its own! Every detail, from the cozy seating to the comforting treats, made our experience truly enjoyable. What really set this café apart, though, was the friendly staff. They were so welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. With great food, a beautiful setting, and wonderful service, Catkin Bloom Café is a spot we’ll definitely be returning to. Highly recommend!

The New Inn, Roborough

Wow, what a lovely local pub. We had a long day of travelling and managed to call to get a last minute table after seeing good reviews. The staff were friendly and patient and the atmosphere is cosy and quirky but nice and relaxing!

Now onto the food, we ordered the bacon cheeseburgers on pretzel buns and they were genuinely amazing. Son had a chicken burger kids meal which was very generous and the cheesy chips were a huge portion and smothered in melted cheese.

We were really impressed by the prices, the portions and the place in general. Despite not being locals it didn’t feel like we were out of place. There was our family of 6 and 3 small dogs and we felt comfortable and welcome. Would happily go back again. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely breakfast here while visiting parents who live in the area. Delicious food, great atmosphere and decor. We had a great time, and I finally found a perfectly balanced pumpkin spiced latte - not too sweet!!

Great pub in small rural village. The locals were a friendly bunch, and the Landlord was great, even bought us a drink. What a gem well worth the visit. We didn't order food so have not reviewed it.
