Would use again the function room is perfect cor family events. Well done to Chef Connir and all the staff.

Mill St, WimborneWe visited The Coventry Arms for the second time at the weekend. What AMAZING service… the staff are so generous with their time. And the food! We had awesome meals… the gammon egg and chips … EXCELLENT! The fish and chips… absolutely DELICIOUS!! What a perfect way to spend a couple of hours on a Saturday evening. Thank you so very much… we will be back soon!

The Lambs' Green Inn
LAMBS GREEN INN, Lane, Corfe Mullen, WimborneThe food was tasty even though it didn’t always look it. Standard fare but lots of it. We were all full by the end.
We sat out in the garden which was large and not too busy. We did wait quite a long time for our food and asked after it a couple of times. Luckily we had plenty to talk about. I'm not sure how they would cope if the place was full.
When the food came, it was hot and fresh which helped mitigate the wait.
There were some lovely old cars in the car park which we stopped to admire on the way out.
A pleasant pub diner that I'd give another go if I was ever in the area again.

Renoufs Cheese and Wine Bar
9 West Borough, WimborneOn our first visit to Renoufs a few months back was a rather overwhelming experience. This time (8.8.25) we had a better idea of how it works and what to order, particularly thanks to Douglas, whose unhurried and gentle manner helped us no end in choosing the perfect platter for two.
In a nutshell, Renoufs is a wonderful dining experience, and of good value - if one does not over-order. And the staff (Douglas in particular), are outstanding in their professionalism, and in the way they offer unhurried help to those like my wife and me who are keen to take the plunge in to a new (for us) dining experience!

10 Church St, WimborneBooked a table for an early Mother’s Day treat for my mum. What a fantastic establishment, we had a warm and friendly greeting from the staff, service was outstanding. We were seated and given the menu, mum recieved a complimentary drink as it was for Mother’s Day, and when the food arrived it was exceptional. I highly recommend this place and mum is already pestering me to take her back.

Long Ln, WimborneMyself and my teen son popped in on the spur of the moment for lunch. The staff were super accommodating even though we hadn’t booked. We chose our table next to the open fire. The entire atmosphere of the pub is wonderful, relaxing and beautiful. The staff were attentive without being over the top or overwhelming. The food was freshly made , super hot and really really delicious. My son n had the dirty burger which was absolutely mammoth and I had the steak which was cooked to perfection. I now need to have a long post lunch nap from food overindulgence. Would MORE than recommend

4 The Square, Cranborne, WimborneGreat little find, a proper traditional English pub. I just had a wonderful 2 night stay here with my wife. The owners couldn’t have been more welcoming. We also had a meal on the second night, I had the garlic chicken Kiev ( which was a 1/4 chicken!) it was delicious and my wife had the moules frites which was also great. I have not had a better pint of Guinness outside of Dublin! Great job Sheaf of Arrows, everything was 10/10 we would definitely come back soon!

They were really clear in communicating everything they needed beforehand, polite and chatty to all our guests and their fish and chips and nuggets and chips were great. It was carefully explained to us that there would be a significant wait, as they were dealing a large group, but that was fine, as we were in no hurry and the atmosphere was very convivial. We were served with drinks straight away and our food orders were duly taken. The food was very good, perfect for a late morning brunch, and reasonably priced. It's not my first visit and it won't be my last.

There's no greeting and they deliver your food with the bare minimum of who ordered what, they aren't very attentive when you're ordering because they're chatting to each other.
The cafe is situated in a very pretty courtyard and with a better attitude from the staff it could be tip top.
I does'nt put me off going at all because it's so relaxing and pleasant otherwise.

However, I find it incredible they have such a high price point before they give you a bag of prawn cracker. My previous local gave me a bag on a ten pound order. Despite being a regular I need to spend at least £25 for a free bag or prawn cracker, and it keeps going up, there is no conession or recognition for being a regular. Let alone any friendly greeting when you go there. A mixed bag.

Wimborne Minster, WimborneFound a seat outside next to the river and managed to enjoy the sound of the water. About 15 mins in tipped with rain and we were found a seat inside. A lovely jacket potatoe. Fast, polite staff, and lovely inside too. Will definitely return. Thank you.
