87 High St, BattleA charming tearoom. Good selection of cakes, sandwich and treats. I had a cheese scone tea which was delicious, a wonderfully light and cheesy scone with cheese, pickle salad, slaw and apple, not forgetting the pot of tea. Whilst we were there they were setting up for a pre booked afternoon tea, and the care that was taken when setting and dressing the table was impressive., small details checked and re checked. I would definitely book for a girls catch up!

The Grn, Ninfield, BattleLoved the fairy lights and rustic look of the place. Tapas were very tasty and excellent value at £15 pp including free bread and olives! Great service too highly recommended

Leonati Street Food
2 New Barn Farm Cottages, BattleLeo & Natli provided pizzas and canapés for our wedding reception recently. They were absolutely fantastic, great communication leading up and flexibility along the way. Then on the day so organised and prepared, they were amazing couldn’t recommend them anymore.
The food was incrediable, great choice of pizza and catered for a variety of allergies.
They are both absolutely wonderful people

Station Approach, BattleWe've been to this pub as a small group of four a few times now and each time the service has been fantastic. Friendly, attentive easy going, lovely staff. The food is very good especially the Sunday roasts. Highly recommend.

23A High St, BattleBefore I start, I want to make it clear that we did not eat here - we had a reservation but then couldn’t get a taxi from our camping accommodation into Battle (and we’d been drinking wine all day so couldn’t drive). Rang and left a message to cancel the table and had a return phone call from Tim to thank us for letting him know and wishing us a lovely holiday. What an incredibly nice man - we will definitely return next time we are in the area now. Based on our experience we will get a lovely warm welcome. Ps. If you are staying near Bodiam on a Saturday night and want to get anywhere in a taxi, book well in advance!

Within seconds they offered us a ride back to our campsite. Can’t recommend enough

Keepers Cottage/The Furnace, BattleCaroline provided us with excellent service and amazing food for a family birthday celebration for 12 of us!
From the moment I first made contact with her she was helpful, had an amazing variety of menus and when the food was served it was delicious and plentiful!
We were in an AirBnB and Caroline and her assistant, Elizabeth, were professional, friendly and made the evening such a good one!
The food was served quickly, smoothly and the standards of clearing up afterwards were first class!
I would highly recommend Caroline who is a great chef and lovely person to work with!

23 High St, BattleGood food and excellent service. Too much garlic with the bruschetta but the calves liver and pollo funghi were excellent. Everything is served with salad which would be a bit odd with the calves liver but they produced some vegetables on request. Puddings not really worth it. Probably one of the best places to eat in Battle.

The Green, Sedlescombe, BattleWas a really nice place to stay. Staff were lovely and very accommodating. The table service in the restaurant was that of a 5 star restaurant in London. Giulio was the perfect host. Would definitely stay again.

Kings Head
37 Mount St, BattleWe were hot and bothered in the heatwave and quite literally stumbled into the lovely little back garden with our Boxer dog Poppy.
It was so nice to have a drink in such nice surroundings the three of us. We came back a further two times on our break.
Nice pint of peroni and sunshine, plus a very hospitable owner / bar lady. Would definitely recommend.

78 High St, BattleCalled in with THE DOG and both the humans and canine were made to feel very welcome...even a couple of gravy bones for our best friend...a very thoughtful and welcoming touch. Oh and we had the sausage sandwich made with local sausage and sour dough bread. FABULOUS.

We were just planning on having a couple of drinks. Then we realised that they do a daily roast. I had the daily roast and my fiancee had the pork belly. The portions of food were generous to say the least. The quality of the food was outstanding. Our compliments to the chef and staff who went above and beyond to make our visit welcome. Very friendly and pleasant atmosphere. And a big thank you to Tony for his impromptu taxi service that evening back to the Beech estate.
We live around 35 miles away but will most definitely be dropping back again. Many thanks.

We ordered using the app and the drinks were on the table 2 minutes later. All the food came out at the same time and was fresh and hot. Granary bread was fresh and delicious, the fillings were tasty and plentiful. It’s my go to place now for sandwiches. We’ve since been in for breakfast and lunch and every time we’ve enjoyed our food. With the weekly specials there is always something new to try. Can get busy at times but the wait is worth it. Staff are always friendly and polite. Highly recommend Bonney’s
