The St, UckfieldVisited this lovely pub last Sunday with friends and my dog. Despite a full pub and no empty tables, the service was quick, friendly and professional
Our table had a couple of beef roasts, burger and veggie roast.
The burger was stacked and filling with great quality meat. Vegetarian roast was flavoursome and filling
The roast beef dinner was excellent. Lean roast beef, crispy potatoes, buttered multitude of vegetables all properly cooked and tasty. There was limited gravy on the plate but extra turned up unprompted. Cauliflower cheese with toasted breadcrumbs, served in a metal cast iron pot, was a meal in itself. Everything arrived quickly and freshly cooked despite a full pub.
I tried the home made rum and raisin ice cream and this was probably the best ice cream I have ever tasted. Rich, indulgent, creamy and filling
The roast beef dinner was also probably the best Sunday roast I have had out.
The pub was full of dogs with a good atmosphere and great service
The only negative I could find is that the desserts are 'nut heavy'. I have a nut allergy so limited my choices. However, after picking the ice cream, I ended up with an amazing dessert so was very happy anyway
It's unusual for me to be so enthusiastic about a place but credit where due. I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area and recommend anyone reading to enjoy the food and hospitality of the Foresters Arms

Drive Thru, Ashdown Business Park, UckfieldReally quick and good service. Nice food and drink. However, prices have become extortionate recently which is a shame and makes me question how often I can visit.
