Hawk Hill, Battlesbridge, WickfordHad a wonderful meal here with friends for a lovely get together. The food was yummy and only wished I had room for dessert! A lovely pub with a really good atmosphere and our waiter Leo made the whole experience even better, he was very attentive, informative and well mannered and so on the ball with our orders, thank you to this young man, he is an asset to this establishment.

Radwinter Ave, WickfordAll the staff are so lovely and welcoming and very helpful even though table service isnt required with the qr codes they still come over and made sure we was okay and offered to take our order which i thought was great x the carvery taste lovely and great value for money and generous meat portions. I wouldnt take my kids into many pubs due to some drinkers at bar but ive never noticed any riff raff when ive been in with my kids so id say its a great family pub

From the very beginning of the planning stages to the end of the night last night nothing was too much trouble for Dimi, Paula and the rest of the team. The food and service was impeccable and I couldn’t have asked more from the restaurant who helped us to raise an amazing £2700 in a single night.
I had been to Tony’s before and always been impressed but last night they really blew me away.

I must reccommend the Nagariya Curry, its the perfect blend of spice and flavour and my favourite curry! The staff are very welcoming and helpful, in my experience have always been on time. 10/10!
The only thing i would appreciate seeing is a vegetarian option to the curries on the menu as currently there is only chicken and lamb. Although when I have called up they have been very happy to offer vegetarian curry options upon request

Wickford Chinese Takeaway
10 Runwell Rd, WickfordFirst time ordered from Wickford Chinese and can honestly say it was the best Chinese takeaway we have had in a long time.
Friendly member of staff took my order with no issues. Delivery was bang on time and the total order (was a big order for eight people)was all correct.
Food was hot and was delicious.
Would definitely recommend as we will be using Wickford Chinese as our default Chinese from now on.
Vegetarian options: Vege chow mein and Vegetable Spring rolls were lovely.

Went for lunch with my Aunt, who lives nearby. Had never been before and wouldn’t have known it existed, were it not for my Aunt, as it’s not visible from the main road, being part of a little shopping centre bit which you get to, if driving, by coming off the roundabout down a road that looks like it leads to nowhere!
On arrival, it didn’t look particularly special from the outside, but even at midday, it was already busy, showing it is a popular place. Though it was busy, staff were friendly and attentive and we were quickly seated and served.
Menu is good, with plenty of traditional cafe options and the price is standard for this type of place. I went for a full English and was very pleased with the presentation, portion size and taste, whilst my Aunt had a sandwich.
Based on the quality of the food and how nice the staff were, I would return.
The interior was fairly clean and tidy, though the toilets needed a good clean and tidy up. Was good to see it was accessible, with an accessible toilet, though could be tricky to navigate in a larger wheelchair when busy.
There is free parking outside.

The place was clean and tidy, and the tables were clean, and cleaned with sanitiser within moments of becoming vacant. There were tables available, even though it was busy with customers, and I was served by a friendly young lady. My food was served quickly and it was delicious and hot. I am impressed by my entire visit, and when I am visiting Wickford again, I shall return.

Ordered the set meal for 1, which was great value for the amount of food you get included, in all honesty its probably too much for one person to eat in one sitting. Just tasted the meal and I am blown away, it is gorgeous. The Onion Baji is probably the best ive ever eaten, and I am from Manchestet the home of curry mile! The tikka masala is so tasty. I can not find a single fault with any of the meal. If you can, you MUST try this place. The staff are super friendly too. I will most certainly be back.

WickfordFood is delicious especially there garlic bread and the donner wrap was on the off chance that we pooped in a few weeks ago and this is the only kebab shop that we use now couldn’t recommend enough very polite staff who take there time to get to know there customers with a friendly smile highly recommend this place

Really enjoyed the well cooked breakfasts, we tried the normal and the veggie, vegetarian sausages very tasty, but what impressed us most was the team of friendly, polite and hard working youngsters, who went about their job quietly, efficiently and most of all pleasantly. Anyway, quite some time later I decided to try it for lunch last week. Half chicken and chips lunch meal for £5.99 which I've had before and been very disappointed with the quality of the chips. However, last week they were nigh on perfect, excellent quality - I actually wondered if the place had been taken over by new people. So to better confirm the experiment I chanced it again yesterday, hake and chips for £4.99. Damn that was a very decent portion and surprisingly once again, the chips were spot on. I should have taken a photo. My opinion of the place has risen exponentially. The web pre-order service was always very handy. Now in saying all that, their normal prices are the worst in town and I'll likely never visit outside of lunch hours.

Burnham Rd, Battlesbridge, WickfordHonestly can’t thank the Lodge enough. We called them last minute trying to book for 18 people after being let down by another restaurant. Within minutes, they had sorted us an area in the restaurant with no hassle, thank you Angela!
From the moment we arrived, the staff were so friendly and welcoming — nothing was too much trouble. They were super organised, and kept everything running smoothly. The food was amazing, the drinks were flowing, they could not do enough for us. You could really feel that they cared about making sure we had a great time — and we did!
Massive shoutout to the Angela, Hannah & Maisie for being absolutely amazing. 100% recommend and will definitely be back.
