The occasion was an eagerly awaited diamond wedding celebration. Only one of our party had a cocktail and it was the only alcohol free version priced at £9.95 passion fruit reviver) on the menu. Discovered when we returned home that we had been charged for an alcoholic version at £13.50. I was astonished to discover that there was only a choice of one for non-alcoholic lager (corona). A lovely work friend bought me an afternoon tea as a get well prezzie, and today was the day that my Best friend and I enjoyed it! It was a very tasty afternoon treat, with good selection of tasty sandwiches and a mouthwatering array of cakes and scones with cream. Delicious food, great cocktails and an excellent wine pairing.Really enjoyed the French onion soup with my other half. We then shared the tomahawk steak with the selection of sauces. All were great, absolutely loved the peppercorn sauce.Slightly over seasoned with salt. However not a deal breaker.Icecream at the end was magnificent.Dietary restrictions: Were able to accommodate a fish allergy.Parking: Large carpark at the back of the hotel.
