After the very unprofessional experience at The Haywain a week before, we decided to have our evening meal out at The Gamekeeper. I checked they were serving food and made a reservation an hour before. The pub was quite busy but this was not reflected in the excellent service and food quality we received. A great friendly Pub with excellent food and service. Visited today (12th Jan) with my family for lunch. All our meals were excellent. The service was good, and the staff and other diners were very friendly and welcoming. Have dined here before about 3 years ago and the quality of the food and service today was better than on our last visit (i think it has new owners). Thoroughly recommend this Pub. You will not be disappointed. Also very dog friendly.

They were so welcoming and accommodating. They always accept people in wheelchairs without a fuss. Lovely food with a new menu.Wheelchair accessibility: There is one step to negotiate and good wheel assess at the back door.
