Restaurants in Totland Bay
Highdown Inn
Moons Hill, Totland BayStayed here for 1 night while walking around the Isle. Had the best pint of Guinness on the island, and also a good local selection of beers available, though non alcoholic selection was a little limited. Dinner was very good and decent value, and room price was reasonable considering a decent breakfast is included. The room itself was comfortable, if a little small and dated, but no issues at all with it. Staff and customer service was to a very high standard. Plenty of seating available outside, but would recommend booking if eating inside, we were lucky to get a table. Was well located for us but beware that walking to the pub and the surrounding area will require some walking time on country roads.

The Waterfront Bar & Restaurant
The Beach, Madeira Rd, Totland BayLovely restaurant with great views. The food is very good (I had the bream with butter beans and the carrot & walnut pudding, both delicious). Lovely attentive staff who loved our little dog! I'm very happy to recommend The Waterfront.

The Needles Landmark Attraction
Alum Bay New Rd, Alum Bay, Totland BayAttractive views along the coastline & towards the Needles, from a small wooden look out, accessed by wooden steps. Very disappointed having to walk through an amusement park, offering rides & crazy golf for small children, a few 'souvenir' shops. A few refreshment outlets, including ice cream & sweets.
Unclear how easy to access using public transport; there is a largish car park, & a bus stop.
The most interesting attraction, is the Glass Blowing workshop & retail shop,.where you can watch very skilled craftsmen producing amazing creations. ... & a large selection of their output is sold in the adjoining shop.
Unfortunately, the chair lift to Alum Beach was not working on the day of our visit, & many outlets closed & being renovated.
