Harborne, BirminghamCame here with trusty Guide Dog Pyrgo for the 2nd time today having popped in for a drink when I first moved in to the area recently.
This time, I had a pint of Green Monkey which isn’t as literal as it sounds…It’s a lager brewed by Joule's Brewery, located in Market Drayton, Shropshire, who own this lovely pub.
I had popcorn chicken as a starter and scampi with chips, peas and tartar sauce.
The pub is one of the oldest in Harborne and well worth a visit in my view.
Staff were friendly and helpful and food was lovely and freshly made. Food not served on Mondays and Tuesdays currently but, maybe more of you should frequent this place and that might change.
Seriously! Lovely gem of a place and well worth a visit.

36 High St, CoalvilleWe have been here several times over the years. I had my 40th birthday meal at Imge last night and brought my family along. The food and service was wonderful , and the communication when booking the table was very good with quick responses.
I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys good quality food and a decent price.

Ashby Rd, CoalvilleThe food was very nice. I had the home made Doner kebabs and they were very tasty with a good sized naan. The pie and chips was fantastic (which begs the question why serve some meals with the cheap fries when the chips are so good).
Food service was friendly and fast but we did have 2 meals missed off the order (which we'd pre-booked) and there were sometimes long queues for the bar for drinks.
Nice atmosphere to the place, even with the football on and two birthday parties it still felt very family friendly. We'll definitely be returning ?

Bardon Rd, CoalvilleWe visited last night to celebrate a 40th birthday and the staff where so friendly, I dropped of a ballon and cake earlier in the day and when we arrived the ballon was on the table.
The meal was spot on and the wait time was brilliant.
Fantastic customer service all the staff are super friendly.
Defo recommend if you’re looking for a lovely little restaurant ideal for the whole family.

Was perfect, service was absolutely brilliant, food was piping hot throughout.

Warren Hills Rd, CoalvilleDo I recommend? Yes or No. Debated what to select. A lovely meal was ruined by going to the toilet and see one of the waitresses who had handled our food use the toilet (heard her wee and then flush) and then walk straight out without washing hands (young, tall, blonde worth hair in a bun). Absolutely disgusting and made me feel very ick. Parents should have taught this skill as a toddler let alone during food hygiene training!!! That aside the food was well presented and tasty and if I had not have witnessed this disgusting girl not wash hand before before handling food I would have had no complaints. Staff were friendly. Everything was nice and clean. A selection of activities to keep the children occupied such as mini golf, bouncy castles and climbing frame. We were saying how much we wanted to come back (big party of 8) but undecided now.

The Victoria Biker's Pub

The New Inn at Mow Cop is everything you could want from a countryside pub. The food was absolutely delicious — proper home-cooked meals with generous portions and full of flavour. But what really made our visit special was the staff — so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help. You feel looked after the moment you walk in. Combine that with those unbeatable views across the hills and it’s a place you’ll want to return to again and again. A real treasure!

We have travelled a lot in India and also cook lots of authentic Indian food at home and over past years have become very disillusioned with Indian restaurants outside of some very good ones in Leicester. We took a chance and ordered a takeaway from Chili and Spice. Have to say we were very impressed. One speciality main course and two veg side dishes with one rice and one paratha was enough for two hungry folk. Th3 service over the phone and at delivery were excellent. The food was very good indeed. Each of the dishes was clearly freshly made, all very different from each other and lovely quality. Chili and Spice have renewed our faith in a local takeaway. Very enjoyable and definitely recommended. Thank you so much.

Those days are gone.
Does the new recipe taste good, yes.
Does the new recipe align with people's expectations of gravy, yes.
Does the new recipe meet food saftey standards, yes.
All of which is why I can no longer recommend it as a food source to eat when you are alone on valentines day and down.

187 The Moor, Coleorton, CoalvilleWe booked the Christmas meal for 6 people for Wednesday 10th December. When we arrived all the staff were friendly and showed us where we were sat.
The table was laid with Christmas attire and looked cosy and inviting.
Then the food arrived, I dont know how to describe it, other than the goats cheese tart was amazing, it was the best I have ever eaten.
The Christmas, turkey dinner was next, again the food was delicious and there was so much of it that most of us took our puddings to go as we couldn't eat any more. The cauliflower cheese that accompanied was delicious and I want the receipe.
The pudding I had, was the brioche bread and butter pudding, it was heavenly served with lots of double cream.
All through the meal, the staff made sure we were comfortable and bought out extra gravy and cranberry sauce when requested.
Overall, probably one of the best places I have eaten in a long time, both for the food and the service.
Highly recommend and we will definitely be going back again.

When the number would not ring we asked this pub if they had CCTV and they managed to provide the car’s registration. They didn’t have to do this and I suspect that most landlords would not take the time to help.

The owners are lovely people and are always welcome in.No matter if you’ve had a good or you’ve had a bad day they are always lovely and always greet you. The drinks are amazing they have a variety of crisps and nuts also if you want them. They have a pool table that sometimes can get busy when is the match day but otherwise they’re they’re very very good to play on. They also have bands and odd axon on a Saturday or Friday and it is really really good. But my all over review of this is please if you are local to Whitwick Coalville or Ashby please go to lady Jane as he won’t be disappointed

Right from booking a table, which is recommended, the staff are friendly. Walking in, everyone working there greets you and smiling. The menu is excellent, from pasta, pizza, fish and steak, the food is freshly prepared and is always well presented. The drinks menu is also good. Desserts choice is good and it's nice to see a cheese board on it! Definitely worth a visit here and then several re-visits. So glad I live nearby!
