Recently discovered this Italian gem in Market Harborough and already returned 3 times in 6 weeks. On each occasion there only seemed to be one member of staff on duty but each one was very welcoming, efficient and friendly. Food arrived promptly and was amazing. Portion sizes definately large so my advice is missing a starter to leave room for desert! Pizza is definately the best I have had outside Rome - thin and crispy with generous toppings that reach the edge!

Faultless throughout. The staff are sensational. Very friendly and eager to help. Efficient service. The food was top notch (we had a party in the far dining room, with a cold buffet, which was delicious). The drinks are reasonably priced. Good selection of beers, wine and gin. Garden is spacious and good for children (pebbles and grass). Very grateful to John, Harry, Luke and the team for their efforts. Very lucky to have such a great pub in the village.

The perfect little Italian restaurant we love to dine in when away for an overnighter.. a family type run restaurant.. more authentic.
Welcomed even though most of the tables were reserved..we were early and hadn't pre-booked.. so no problem getting served thankfully.
Lovely menu.. we had the spicy king prawns for starters and brushetta.
Then the gluten free based sea food pizza ? and spicy calzone..finished with a tiramisu and bottle of Rose .. definitely return when next in Market Harborough.. our first visit to the town..lovely people and beautiful place!

Booked a table with half hour notice. Got us a table straight away. From walking in through , it was obvious it's a busy place. Was met at the door and shown to the table. Drinks order was taken and arrived at the table within 5 minutes. Carvery was well set out with a variety of meats.
Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The place itself has quite a good relaxed atmosphere. Although quite a distance from home, if I'm in the area, I'll be stopping here again.

I have had several amazing experiences at Istanbul restaurant! The atmosphere is welcoming, and it's incredibly child-friendly, making it a perfect spot for families. The quality of food is outstanding – every dish we've tried has been delicious!

We absolutely love seeing Mya, our waitress, as she goes above and beyond for us every single time. Her friendly service really adds to the experience.

Visited on a Saturday lunchtime (1 pm) – tasty main courses, freshly cooked, although the vegetarian options are fairly limited (burger, pasta or Greek salad). Part of my main was missing so I had to ask then wait for it. Choice of 3 desserts – we also had to ask for the dessert options after waiting half an hour after our mains were cleared (and we were the only ones in the restaurant!), so the service was a little on the slow side but friendly. We've been here before (about 2 years ago) and loved it, but it wasn't quite the same this time.

I've walked past this place numerous times and today my appetite finally got the better of me.

The chippy was clean inside, well presented, lots of food in the hot counters. I ordered a cone of chips to try it out and was pleasantly surprised.

The chips were absolutely delicious! Soft inside and crispy on the outside, just the way I like it! Ended up demolishing the lot really quickly ?

Service was very polite and welcoming.

My new favourite chippy in Market Harborough (and possibly Northants!)

The Freemasons Arms in Market Harborough is the kind of pub that makes you wonder why you ever bothered with fancy gastropubs where the chips arrive stacked like Jenga and the beer costs more than your broadband. This is the real deal. A proper pub where you’re welcome whether you’re wearing walking boots, dog leads, or that expression that says “I just need a pint and a pie.”

Let’s start with the people. The staff are friendlier than your nan after two sherries. Nothing is too much trouble, and they somehow manage to make every customer feel like a regular, even if you only pop in once a year on your way to somewhere else.

Delicious food, genuine and friendly owners, and all at a really reasonable price. In the market place, so not a 'restauranty' setting.

The owners have a real passion for the food they make, and it comes across in the flavour, generous portion sizes and high quality of each dish. Everything is hand made by them.

If you want some to make at home, you can buy their sui mai or dumplings frozen - easy to make at home ans amazing compared to supermarket alternatives.

What a charming shop filled with tempting handmade chocolate delights! You can tell a lot of love and care goes into making this truly delicious & indulgent range!! The tastes are authentic and I personally now have too many favourite flavours (I adore Creme Brulee, Salted Butter Caramel & Cointreau). There really is something for every taste and occasion. Best of all you can taste the quality in each bite!!On my 2nd visit I met the lovely owner of this fab local business and you can tell she enjoys what she does. Let's me start by saying food was excellent at this restaurant , from the chicken and sweet corn soup , the crispy aromatic duck , to the spicy chicken dish, beansprouts and garlic rice . The warm saki was lovely too . One star off because the service was lacking and at times we had to call staff ourselves to order . Once they arrived they were polite but consistently through a dining experience this should not happen . I will try this restaurant again and hopefully the service matches the excellent dishes next time .

We have just discovered this amazing Chinese and have had takeaway from it 2 days in a row its been that delicious! The food was well packed and stayed extremely hot for a long time. The chicken chow mein is exceptional, not salty or oily like most takeaways. It has nice thick noodles with a generous amount of chicken in it. The beef in black pepper sauce was incredible too and packed with beef. Overall every dish was spot on, they offer a large range of vegetarian dishes, we will definitely be having a takeaway from here again soon

We’ve been ordering from them for nearly a year now, and they’ve never missed a beat. The food is always piping hot, delicious, and exactly what we asked for. Delivery is speedy, the staff are genuinely friendly, and the whole experience is consistently brilliant.

You know exactly where I'm coming from when I say that when you find a decent Chinese you're committed for life. Swallow Cottage is mine. Not only is the food exactly as good as you expect it to be, the people there are so lovely it's a legit joy to step foot through the door. The woman who works there, in fact, is the only individual who has ever refused a tip from me: "No, no no - if you enjoy the food, you come back. That's enough." If you can name three places who've ever hit you with that I'll buy you a meal.I live on a boat so I get around. But whether I'm just outside of Harborough or on the outskirts of Cov, unless I'm over an hour away I will go well out of my way to come here. Wonderful people.Edit: for whatever it's worth I'm a chef by trade, so if I eat from the same place twice it's no small thing - but the Satay Chicken is to die for. You can take that to the bank.

A useful store - good to know it's there - but not the sort of place you could regularly shop in, both because of the range of products and the price mark-ups. That said, it's ideal for the emergency run where only a tub of ice-cream, hunk of cake, or ready meal will do, or for picking up the papers on the way out of town, and it does carry a few lines you don't see around that much lately. There is a cash point outside the building, one of the few on this side of town, and a public noticeboard to the back of the store. The store has always been clean and tidy when I've visited and the staff are efficient and generally friendly.

Fantastic food and service once again at Flames in harbs, phoned up to order 2 supreme special burgers told 10 mins 10 mins it took. The most powerful burgers you’ve ever seen, not like that overpriced crap from the usual king and clown. This thing was so heavy it had its own gravitational pull. Chips came with it too, not that you need them. Layers of cheese, chicken beef and bacon all come together for a flavour explosion so intense you’ll go for a beer in the nags knowing flames will make it worth your while even if you get a black eye or a Poole stick wrapped round your chops. You can even choose the salat and sauce when you pick them up! Matey running the FOH was spot on, proper polite and enthusiastic, real asset to the business and made sure everything was spot on.
