6 Garrs Ln, Grassington, SkiptonA really cute fish shop. We ordered some fish and chips to go. Every piece was freshly made as I saw the staff member dip each cod piece into the batter. We also sampled some curry sauce. If you are in the area, I would check them out. Decent hearty fish and chips in a pleasant village in the Yorkshire Dales.

1 Garrs Ln, Grassington, SkiptonEven though the serving took awhile, unlike other restaurants though, it oddly felt calming waiting (for some reason). The staff were very diverse in ranges of indentifation, so it felt accepting. There is outside and inside sitting. The food is also really good! We were spoiled with the amount of drinks they had! (Milk, diet coke, hot chocolate, etc ).The hot chocolate was delicious and so was the milk.I highly recommend that if you are near by you should stop by the wonderfull restaurant.?

Craven Arms Pub & Cruck Barn
The Craven Arms, Appletreewick, SkiptonWhat a place ! Staff friendly, outside views stunning and inside a dream to wander around and look at the features of this historic place. Fish and chips ( cooked in beef dripping, which took me back about 50 years ! ) are well recommended and kept us full all day. Dog friendly too, so I can definitely recommend a visit. My friend from France just loved it too.

Retreat Tearoom & Bistro
The Retreat, Main St, Grassington, SkiptonAbsolutely delicious food, very friendly service and free customer WiFi if you ask for the password at the till, which was handy as we had no reception at all on our phones. Food was prepared fresh so a short wait for food when we were there at a busy lunch time.
We especially enjoyed the falafel wrap and soup of the day. One toilet which was popular so had a queue a lot of the time.
I would love to give 5 stars overall, if only for the welcome we received, but the prices were definitely steep for the amount of food served. It was all great quality, no doubt using good produce, but the portion in the kids fish goujons and chips was so comically meagre, it even had our 4 year-old commenting on how it wasn't very big for £6.40. Same could be said for the size of the wrap + chips for £10.
We'd come back if we're looking for a bit of a treat, but travellers on a budget might want to look elsewhere (though it does seem to be par for the course in Grassington).

Main St, Grassington, Hebden, SkiptonLovely café with plenty to offer. They have a great choice of GF and VG options.
There is plenty of seating indoor and out.
It's perfect for a quick getaway or if you're wanting to go for a walk.

The two Gents serving were very friendly, the place was extremely clean and the food looked fresh and tempting. Will definitely call again.

10 Main St, Grassington, SkiptonReally tasty and authentic Indian food. Really enjoyed my prawn curry and the chappatis were fresh and delicious. Quite expensive for a takeaway but the food is good. Lots of veg and onions and good flavours. Friendly staff and clean environment. Cash only but there is a cash point nearby. You can eat in if you like. I would recommend. Beautiful village location.

Village Green, Burnsall, SkiptonJust a lovely friendly little cafe serving excellent coffee and a good choice of sandwiches from 'posh' bacon, vegetarian and vegan, as well as warm sausage rolls and a good selection of delicous looking homemade cakes! I am coeliac and pescatarian so I had the vegetarian sandwich served with a very nice gluten free roll - and a coffee with oat milk! They are very good on their choices for people with allergens and other dietry requirements, but they don't always have everything in stock esp after a busy weekend! (No gluten free bread on the Saturday or Sunday of the BH weekend!) But an excellent place to stop, with both indoor and outdoor seating! And of course with a beautiful view across the River Wharfe!

The New Inn
Appletreewick, SkiptonAbsolutely immense Sunday roast here today for Mother’s Day! The food was delicious, beautifully presented on large serving platters, lovely staff and drinks. And topped off with the most glorious sunshine and views…oh and some lovely individually wrapped biscuits made by one of the customers to celebrate the occasion! Would highly recommend ☺️
