Barton, RichmondHere for New Year and stayed locally . Can honestly say never had such a lovely welcome in any pub ! Megan and her team were so hospitable and the locals made our day - we were welcomed so warmly that we are booking for next year and will definitely join in the dominoes tournament- would 100% recommend

We have been coming here for many years. The food is consistently good and the beer selection fresh and tasty.
Not this time! There were no beers on tap. Only cask beer and lagers. All the hand pumps were off. The barrels needed changing, but the lady we spoke to said she didn't have time. Four pumps off - couldn't change one of them.
For a pub to fail to change just one barrel to provide for its guests makes me think that perhaps we don't matter as someone else will come along in our place.
Our food arrived in good time and was nicely cooked (if a little fatty on the beef). Yorkshires had been in the warm cupboard a bit long as they were dried across the ring. A bit of gravy left in them helped soften them.
Overall slightly underwhelmed by our latest visit.
Would I recommend: Normally without question, but I'll reserve judgement this time
Would I come again: Yes, when I'm sure they have upped their game
