Came here tonight for the first time and oh my days!!! From walking in the door the staff couldn’t do enough (even when our little boy spilt his drink SORRY!) The food was absolutely amazing, fresh, tasty and filling!!! We will definitely be back when we visit Scarborough and will recommend to anyone we know!! Thankyou so much!!!

We aren't local but if in the area we often book in for a meal as we love the Sunday lunches here and the desserts are always outstanding.
I love the equestrian theme of the whole place and it's really well thought out with some quality touches.
We decided to stay over for a bit of a treat and it meant we could make the most of the cocktail bar upstairs.
The room was in the main building and really comfortable with a large bed, seating area and walk in shower. Nice little touches like a coffee machine and cosmetic amenities. I was a bit worried about the rooms being above the restaurant as I'm a light sleeper but the rooms are really quiet and we couldn't hear a thing from our neighbours or the bar areas.
Breakfast was served between 8.30 and 09.30 and is cooked to order. The one lady serving seemed to be really struggling on her own. We had a full English and eggs benedict which were both really good.

Lezzet Mediterranean Bistro is absolutely one of my favourite places in Scarborough. From the moment you walk in, there’s a feeling that this is somewhere special. The interior is warm and inviting with lovely decor that makes the meal feel like more than just dinner—it feels like a treat.

The food is spectacular. Every dish bursts with flavour. Their mixed grill is amazing: tender meat, beautiful char, generous sides—and the sharing platters are genuinely excellent, plenty to go around without feeling skimpy. Vegetarians and people with dietary restrictions will be pleased too; there are good options, and everything I tried felt fresh and well prepared. The hummus, dips, fresh breads, salads—all of it contributes to a rich and satisfying meal experience.

The service is another highlight. The staff are always polite, attentive, and genuinely seem to care that you’re enjoying your meal. Small touches—asking how things are, being helpful about the menu, accommodating allergies—all done with a smile. Even when busy, they manage the flow well so you don’t feel forgotten.

Our experience at The Waives was absolutely delightful. From the impeccably clean and well-equipped room to the outstanding breakfast made with locally sourced, high-quality ingredients, every detail was top-notch. The beautifully decorated and spacious surroundings added an extra touch of comfort to our stay. While we regret not having the chance to meet Chris, Emma proved to be an exceptional host. Without a doubt, we look forward to returning to The Waives when we visit the area again.

Add to that truly excellent staff - they really are great - then there you have it.
My visit today - sport on the multiple screens but no commentary.
Music on but not loud.
I guess it gets really busy at times, but that is due to how good it is.

Delicious chocolate shortbread too.
Tasty Latte.
Toilets, daft as it seems, were exceptional, my wife said its 1 of the nicest she's used in a long time.

We were very surprised at this little place tucked away.

Upon entering it was clean, friendly, organized and dog friendly.

You won't find sticky tables or menus in this place and it's very reasonably priced too.

We had the teatime special for £13.50. And we're served a beautiful piece of fresh well cooked Haddock, fresh well cooked chips and tasty mushy peas with a pot of lovely tea.

We brought our dog in and she was given a bowl of fresh water and a bakers twizzlers treat to enjoy. We also bought her a large plain sausage as a treat, and the staff cut it up for her and served it in a bowl so it wasn't too hot for her to eat.

They have a brilliant menu, with alternatives such as low salt and steamed potatoes instead of chips. They also have a gluten free option.

It was nice to see staff polishing the cutlery after being washed before it was set back out.

The toilets were clean and had no smell at all with baby change and disability friendly.

The atmosphere is friendly, and not overstimulating. No bright lights, no sticky tables, no loud or intensive music and nice table settings and seating.

It is a large restaurant inside for plenty of custom. And they also have a takeout menu if that's what you desire (obviously cheaper than the seated in option)

It is a shame we live so far away because hands down the best we've eaten and been served by in a very long time.

After a disaster of a couple of days having poor of no service ordering food at local businesses i came to this wonderful place. I had the best fish ive ever had, so light and crispy. Along with perfect cooked chips. The menu is small but the food is top notch. Ill probably never go again as im not likely to go back to Scarborough again, but if your there and reading this, look no further. Limited opening hours was my only dislike.

August 25. Happened by this place for a cuppa and cakes. Plenty of choice and the teapot was even using leaf tea. Excellent all round. They closed shop whilst we were there but were entirety ok with is lingering until a rain shower passed. That's what I call good service. Many thanks.

Well, I always thought i knew where the best chippy in Scarborough was (the Lifeboat) but it appears I'm wrong.!!. After visiting here i won't be going anywhere else. The mushy peas are gorgeous (although a little sweet for my liking) the chips are cooked to perfection, the curry sauce is stunning and I don't even know where to start on how good the battered haddock is!!!. Without doubt the best fish and chips in my lifetime. I'm not a local but I now know why the people of Scarborough voted this their No 1 chippy.

This is a gem of a pub in the centre of Scarborough just off the beaten track.

2 real ales on, Ossett White Rat, and Theakston's, the latter being a good session beer.

Lot's of historical buildings around the pub. Definitely worth a look when you're in the area.

There's also an extensive food menu to cater for all tastes.

Great value, I had medium cod and chips, which was freshly cooked and would be classed as large elsewhere. Despite our 10 mile cycle ride to get to Scarborough, I didn’t manage to finish mine.
