Hillside Tavern
53 Castle St, BallycastleThis is the restaurant I frequent the most, together with the Salthouse. What makes Anzacs so special is that not only is the food of high standard, the staff are simply fabulous. Service is done with a smile and nothing is too much to ask for. On the night we went, the manager was suffering badly from a sore back but still he would be professional, delivering a delightful service ensuring that the guests had a brilliant time. Absolutely wonderful place.

Al's Pizzeria & Bistro
41A Castle St, BallycastleSome of the best pizza I’ve had in awhile - such fresh ingredients, truly amazing crust, the place was so lovely inside and warm. Service was so great, it was so clearly a family run establishment from people who really cared to serve great food. Pretty sure I saw Al (Alicia) in the kitchen which made me love the place even more. Would come again! Also the garlic mayo was to die for.

Brannigans Ballycastle
3A Coleraine Rd, BallycastleNow this is a proper chippy. nicest cod and chips I’ve had in a long time, we were warned when we ordered that the wait time was long (about 40mins) as we hadn’t phoned ahead and it was a busy Friday night but it was absolutely worth the wait and I can see why it was so busy. Cash only when we were there

Canton House
74 Castle St, BallycastleA good solid 4.
Plenty of on street parking.
Signage a little cheap & tired looking.
Service very friendly.
Ordered a beef chow mein and beef curry.
The chow mein was okay. Beef above average. Noodles a wee bit oily. Chie mein included a few things you would not usually get - shredded carrot, green pepper and mushrooms. The chef went too heavy on the 5 spice for me.
Berg curry was very good. Good meat well filled. Onions stunning. Also came with peas. Fried rice bog standard.
Lay off the 5 spice in the chow mein and becomes a 4.5.
Not a bad Chinese at all and would certainly visit again.
