Chollerford, HexhamThis is the second time we have visited this Kitchen since Covid and we were again not disappointed. It was busy and found ourselves sharing a table with a couple we knew but hadn't seen for several years and that was an added bonus for our visit. Service was quick and our order taken by the very friendly proprietor. My daughter ordered a delicious and genorous pie, I had the cheese scone and coffee. All delicious. Apparently there had been two rushes of visitors that morning but by just after 12 noon there was a lull - perhaps a good time to visit. The car park was full when we arrived but there is layby parking across the road and just up the hill. I hope you enjoy your visit as much as we enjoyed ours.

The Sea Chef
Garden House Bank, Acomb, HexhamExcellent fish and chips and great value! Ordered 2 large haddock and chips. Went for a beer in the pub next door. 10 mins later picked up the fish and chips. Took them back to our lodgings. They were exceptional, fish very fresh, moist and flakey. Batter was light a crispy chips were perfect and large portions. The best fish and chips I have had for many years and very reasonably priced!
