The Pantry
1 Doctor's Ln, BamburghVisited the Pantry on our way back from the beach this morning so that we could treat ourselves to cake again to have with a pot of tea back at the cottage. Delicious, moist cake as ever.
The owner told me she'd prepared the welcome pack for our holiday cottage and that was perfect too. A very nice loaf, butter and eggs and some rhubarb and raspberry jam that we'll be taking home with us.
Can't recommend highly enough.

Wyndenwell
7bw, 25 Front St, BamburghA great lunch spot. The food is good, the prices reasonable (5 of us - £39.), and great ice-cream.
It's small, and very friendly.
Well worth popping in.

The Clock Tower Tea Rooms
Castle Hotel, BamburghGreat. There is a 40s theme. One or two were dressed in that time. Hair styles, clothes. It might have been even better ? if the foods were also from that time. Maybe even the odd air siren ??. I love it. When you see people getting into the theam
Many thanks to all

The Copper Kettle Tea Rooms
21 Front St, BamburghCalled in for some lunch and wow, crab sandwich was delicious and the Bamburgh Banger sandwich was excellent.
Staff in the tea rooms were friendly and welcoming and although it was really busy took the time to have a conversation with us.
Minimal waiting time for food to arrive but would have been prepared to wait.

The Castle Inn
7 Front St, BamburghVisited twice in a week, the sunday evening was outstanding great food and atmosphere, the second visit did not quite live up to the first, not awful by any means but the bar service was not quite there and the food did not live up to the first night.
On the plus side pricing is reasonable so I would 100% make it your local for the week if staying nearby.
Food wise, skip the lamb burger, its a very beige meal, but try the bangers and mash, fish and chips and cheese burger. Enjoy!
