Lovely pub with amazing views. Really interesting and tasty food but a real shame their cheese and mackerel soufflé isn't on the menu anymore... it was the reason we walked around maidensgrove Common!
Nice pub, with some nice views over the Chilterns. Went for lunch had the duck liver parfait, on a Wednesday and there was another 15 to 20 people in there, speaks volumes having that number of people, at that time of the week. Would highly

Cosy table for four near the open log fire on a frost covered night .Delicious cheese and smoked haddock soufflé followed by French partridge, both outstanding . Not easy to get partridge spot on as most chefs over cook them . Tender, juicy and a10 from me !
