28 Main St, Barrowden, OakhamSometimes you end up somewhere for food, and its ok. If the company if good, then its ok not for it to be just ok, but the Exeter Arms is far from that. The staff and service is excellent, the dining tables all have character and the food is outstanding. This pub has hit the nail on the head for everything that you want, and even then some. The food goes beyond that of a Gastro Pub, and the value is excellent. Im not a restraunt critic, nor do I pretend to be on Google, but look at the photo of my salmon and go and try it for yourself! (Mine is long gone though) :-)

The Fox
The Fox Country Pub and Dining, 1 Pinfold Ln, North Luffenham, OakhamWe visited The Fox for my Mum’s birthday lunch and it didn’t let us down. We had a lovely table in the bar area, in the bay window. The service was excellent - friendly and efficient. The food was fabulous - both the steak and ale pie, and the sirloin steak - and good value. We enjoyed the atmosphere and were lucky to be near to the wood burner, which was lovely. I would highly recommend this pub and just wished I lived nearer!
