The Wheatsheaf
2 Burley Rd, Langham, OakhamTwo years ago, I lost my beautiful little boy, Charlie, and in his memory I set up a charity called Charlie’s Promise. I now deliver talks across the UK, and this week I’ve been at Catmose College.
As I always do when I’m away, I went out looking for somewhere to eat and found this pub. Firstly, the meal I had wasn’t just excellent value for money it was absolutely delicious. But secondly, and most importantly, when I got talking to the owner, I shared Charlie’s story and the work of our charity. He wouldn’t take a penny from me.
I returned with some charity wristbands and badges and explained just how much that kindness meant to me on what had been one of the hardest days. Kindness costs nothing, but it means everything.
If you’re in the area, please pay these wonderful people a visit for the best food, service, and humanity you’ll find anywhere. Thank you so much, guys. Martin Cosser ?
