Blackbird Tearoom

The Glen Bar & Restaurant
Carradale, CampbeltownSuperb meal and service at the Glen Bar. We stopped for lunch on Tues 5th Aug. It was quiet but was told it gets busy at night for meals so pre-book.
The lady that served us was lovely. Everything was extremely clean including the menus which not only had a great selection but was big enough to read without glasses! (Photo of menu only shows half of what they do at lunchtime)
Outside seating as well. Reasonably priced. Carradale is a nice little spot with some great local walks. Highly recommend this place for food and exploring.

The Kintyre Larder
23-25 Main St, CampbeltownCame up from Glasgow for the weekend with my young son to camp and found the Larder after a night camping on West port beach. I can honestly say it was the best roll and sausage I have ever tasted along with a bacon one! Lol Came back the following weekend with the misses to explore the coastline of Kintyre and to get another roll and sausage it was that good!!!

Cafe Bluebell
6 Hall St, CampbeltownPopped into the cafe at 15:50 just looking for a portion of chips to take away to eat while enjoying the beautiful day in Campbeltown. My order was taken and I was invited to have a seat outside while imy order was prepared and it would be brought to me. As I was seated I noticed that they closed at 16:00 with the clock just about to chime four. I don't believe that many places would have done that for me so close to closing time. When the order was brought out I apologised for coming in so close to closing time to be told ot wasn't a problem. The chips were piping hot and freshly made not what was left from the day. Well done Bluebell. Great service and great staff

Carradale Hotel
3 Airds, Carradale East, CampbeltownThe room was nice, clean, comfortable bed and very quiet. I overlook the garden and in the distance you can see the sea. Equipped with a kettle with instant coffee and tea and everything needed for showering and shampooing. A hairdryer was missing.
The owners available. The structure appears a little neglected but overall welcoming.

The Old Clubhouse Pub & Restaurant
The Village at Machrihanish Dunes, MachrihanishAfter walking from Campbeltown, yes we did, and a little stroll on the beach we headed for the Old Clubhouse for lunch. What a brilliant choice. We were met by two lovely ladies, utterly charming and curious to find out our story.
Two fresh pints of Tennants the menu and a lovely outdoor table. Great start.
I chose the beetroot salad and the Old Tom burger. Dianne had the Fish and Chips. Outstanding. If you are in the area, go here, you will not regret it. As well as the two ladies, Stewart, the driver, is a tremendous bloke, very knowledgeable about the area and very obliging. Bravo ?.
