Bowmore Hotel Restaurant
Jamieson St, Bowmore, of IslayMy favourite place to eat on the island. The guy who I assume is the owner has great customer service, the atmosphere is brilliant and the food is always outstanding. Would recommend to anyone visiting Islay

Bowmore Distillery
School St, Bowmore, Isle of IslayAbsolutely loved it!!! The only regret I have until now is not buying one of the 19year old bottle that I was given the sample of. But I will buy it as soon as I can. The visitor center is really welcoming and very interesting. There’s a lot of history included. And the whisky is lovely. Thank you!!!

The Balaclava Byre
Port Ellen, Isle of IslayBooked for the Friday night and the food and service was absolutely fantastic, so much so that we booked again on the Saturday. Best squid I've had and the chicken pakora burger was great. Saturday went for pakora starter followed by a slab of sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection.
Honestly give this little gem a go, you won't be disappointed.

The Ardview Inn
67 Frederick Cres, Port Ellen, Isle of IslayFriendly well frequented bar mixing locals and tourists. I didn't have any food (there wasn't any on offer) but the service was fast and efficient and the atmosphere was good even if Scotland was losing at home to Iceland on the TV.

22 Shore St, Bowmore, Isle of IslayVery, very good. Had to ask what cheese they used for the vegan pizza, because it was incredible! Some of the best I've had in years. Hit the spot perfectly, and the staff were very friendly. Both my friend and I were telling people how nice of a meal it was for the entire rest of our stay on the island.

The Old Kiln Cafe
Ardbeg, Isle of IslayFood was well made and very tasty. I had the Steak and Ale pie which came with onion mashed potatoes and fresh veggies. They let us stay at our table in the cafe and taste whiskey which was really convenient for our party of 6.

So happy we found Seasalt, the Cullen Skink was deliciously creamy and the service was excellent. I was just disappointed that we were not going to be around in the evening for dinner as the specials board had lots to offer!

Shore St, Bowmore, Isle of IslayJust had two chicken dishes from here. The sauce and rice were absolutely amazing bursting with flavours but I reckon there was once breast of chicken between two of us and a small one as there was very little chicken. I was ok but hubby starving after.
