Fleet Vale, High St, Gatehouse of FleetHad such a good breakfast here sitting outside on one of their tables on the street. Good coffee and rolls, really nice, helpful staff, the coffee shop is big inside with a great selection of cards and gifts. The cakes too looked awesome!

10 Ann St, Gatehouse of Fleet, Castle DouglasWe were warmly welcomed in and shown a table in the bar until we were ready to go through to the sun room for our lunch. \nWe all decided on the Carvery which was delicious. Roast Beef, Gammon, Pork and Turkey all cooked to perfection and also a great selection of veg, roast and mashed potatoes too and a refill of your plate was also available but we were stuffed. This was our 4th time here whilst visiting from Ayrshire and certainly won't be our last ?

Mill On The Fleet
High St, Gatehouse of Fleet, Castle DouglasMy family held the wake for my father at the Cafe on The Mill in June 2025. Rosie and Barnie were generous, supportive hosts and created a very welcoming atmosphere. The venue was perfect, accommodating a crowd of around 100 people. The food was excellent. It's such a picturesque spot, by the river. Every time I've been to the cafe since, it's been a pleasure to see it thriving. What an asset to the community. Big thanks to all the Mill from the Turnbull family.

Bank of Fleet Hotel
47 High St, Gatehouse of Fleet, Castle DouglasSuper hotel/bar and very friendly Value for money and superb breakfast Staff friendly and helpful Enjoyed our stay for the 3rd time. Location is excellent for Galloway forest. Parking easily found on street usually outside the enterance door.
