We get off bus from Luss and head straight to Costa for a flat white to kick start our shopping experience in Helensburgh. Before heading back on bus to Luss.

31-32 W Clyde St, HelensburghWe stopped here late in the evening for an ie cream. We got Dragonfruit Sorbet and it was delicious. It was £7 for 2 ice creams which is expensive but the flavour was great and we thoroughly enjoyed the cone.

The people that work there are always so friendly, the coffees are delicious and the baked goods are even better. They have an area specifically for your little ones all set up with toys, play kitchen and books so you actually have a chance to enjoy your coffee while your kids are playing safely right where you can see them.Kid-friendliness: They have a kids corner for the kids to play with the toys or to read books.

86 W Princes St, HelensburghMy parents have been raving about this place for ages, so I had to try it for myself. We went for the Mandarin Set Banquet, £25.95pp – 3 courses with a generous spread of starters, a choice of main and dessert.
Starters included prawn toast, satay skewers, king do ribs, veg spring rolls and seaweed – a v strong start. The prawn toast and ribs were the standouts for me.
For mains, I ordered the Kung Po duck – wasn’t quite the flavour I was expecting, felt like it was missing a little something. The Thai red curry and roast duck in plum sauce were much more of a hit, especially the rich plum sauce.
The dessert I got was the warm chocolate fudge cake with ice cream. Rich and delicious but I was almost too full to eat it all… almost.
It’s a lot of food, so definitely go hungry if you’re getting the banquet. It’s on the pricier side, but you do get plenty for it.

Glen Fruin, HelensburghGot married here last week and it was the most perfect day from start to finish. The farm is absolutely beautiful, even on a dull autumn day. Rebecca and Wayne were fantastic, really know what they are doing. Our decor was exactly what we asked for and Rebecca made sure everything ran so smoothly. Special thanks for looking after Nanny Mac, she loved you! All of our guests have said it was the BEST wedding and Lucy and I agree. All bar and restaurant staff were so friendly and professional too. Would 100% recommend having your wedding here it really is a special place.
