33 W Clyde St, HelensburghHighly recommend La Barca Well worth travelling to experience their amazing menu selection with authentic traditional Spanish cuisine achieving the most amazing individual flavours to each and every dish we ordered and shared with our family and friends, time after time we have had the most wonderful dinning experiences with a wonderful atmosphere abd brilliant staff and management looking after you. I can't recommend this restaurant enough... its a must if you love to indulge and immerse youself in quality spanish tapas.

80-82 W Princes St, HelensburghAbsolutely brilliant, so impressed. Mixed starter was great, lots of tandoori chicken and the like, massive for 2 people, easily enough for 3. Mains fantastic, special fish curry to die for, sim sim lamb so tender, kids bhuna perfect, tasty but not spicy. If i was being picky my only comment would be popadoms and pickle tray is very expensive compared to rest of meal which is fairly priced.

The people that work there are always so friendly, the coffees are delicious and the baked goods are even better. They have an area specifically for your little ones all set up with toys, play kitchen and books so you actually have a chance to enjoy your coffee while your kids are playing safely right where you can see them.Kid-friendliness: They have a kids corner for the kids to play with the toys or to read books.

86 W Princes St, HelensburghMy parents have been raving about this place for ages, so I had to try it for myself. We went for the Mandarin Set Banquet, £25.95pp – 3 courses with a generous spread of starters, a choice of main and dessert.
Starters included prawn toast, satay skewers, king do ribs, veg spring rolls and seaweed – a v strong start. The prawn toast and ribs were the standouts for me.
For mains, I ordered the Kung Po duck – wasn’t quite the flavour I was expecting, felt like it was missing a little something. The Thai red curry and roast duck in plum sauce were much more of a hit, especially the rich plum sauce.
The dessert I got was the warm chocolate fudge cake with ice cream. Rich and delicious but I was almost too full to eat it all… almost.
It’s a lot of food, so definitely go hungry if you’re getting the banquet. It’s on the pricier side, but you do get plenty for it.

Fruin Farm

Rebecca – we honestly cannot stop talking about how fantastic you were the morning of our wedding. I was so nervous and stressed out in the bridal suite, but you had such a calming presence and knew exactly how to reassure me that everything was taken care of and everything was going to be ok. It was a very welcome refuge in the sea of chaos (ill-fitting jackets, misplaced corsages, last minute confetti/petal cones, wrinkled veil etc, etc) and we couldn’t have got through it without you!! The barn, tables and everywhere looked absolutely gorgeous and it was just magical seeing all the little tid-bits we brought all come together for our wedding.
Wayne – you were such a fantastic host and really kept the energy up the entire night, everyone loved you! It was such a fun party and we know all our guests had a blast – we definitely did too! And thank you also particularly for being so patient to answer all our emails and seemingly endless questions on the lead up to the day.
All our guests were so complimentary about absolutely everyone on your team, and we were so well taken care of throughout the day and night – the thoughtfulness and attentiveness of your team definitely did not go unnoticed. We still can’t believe how smooth and organised it went, liaising with all the suppliers and even having everything packed away the next morning as well, you guys are amazing!!!
Additionally, John and I absolutely loved the bridal / honeymoon suite (the bath is amazing – it honestly saved me the night before and gave me a chance to unwind before the big day) – and the room / bed / everything was so comfortable and beautiful.
We could go on and on (and we still will be raving on about Fruin Farm to anyone who will listen), but we’ll leave it at this:
