Fantastic experience, fantastic location, excellent hosts , stayed one night on West Highland way , food was amazing, met some lovely people there also . Everyone loved the place, rooms are basic but all that's required, nice shower block also . Highly recommend if you happen to be passing this way , also is a fair hike up from the hotel but they do offer to collect you

We just went to the Woodhouse for breakfast after a busy weekend at Back Doune the Rabbit Hole.

We were a bit early for the cafe but the staff in the shop were so friendly and told us to come in for a little wander and to bring our dog (who even got some ham). We waited for breakfast and the food didn't disappoint. It was delicious and the staff in the cafe were just as lovely as the shop staff. What a welcoming place with delicious food. We hope to be back soon.

BEST COFFEE IN STIRLING!!!!!

Went here with a couple of my friends for lunch and a catch up, what a wonderful place, service was on point, extremely friendly and helpful, food was amazing I had a pizza slice was top quality. I had a cappuccino was really good and tasty. Honestly couldn’t recommend the so place enough, their cakes all looked fresh and amazing I had a pistachio cheese cake was delicious.

This was our 2nd visit to the Gargunnock Inn, the main difference this time was that we went out of our way to revisit. We were not disappointed, warm welcome, fast service and lovely food. Added bonus for us was that we arrived on a Wednesday and it was 2 for 1 on Fish suppers or Scampi. Looking forward to our next visit.

We booked the Allan Park for a single night stopover as part of a birthday celebration. Room ("Alder") was roomy, well appointed and great for a short stay (although could do with an actual chair to sit in, not just fabric stools). Dinner was excellent, and had lots of customisation options for Coeliacs. Breakfast was equally good. Staff throughout were friendly and attentive. Overall an excellent experience and when we next visit stirling would be my first choice to return.

Came here based on the great reviews. Husband had a specialty drink, and I a beer. I ordered the Cullen skink as well as a spinach ravioli starter; Jim ordered Taglatelli with bacon. The skink entrée was brought promptly, but the pastas took an inordinately long time considering there were not that many people being served. The tastes were all good, though not terrific. With a tip our total was 78.10£, one of the pricier meals of our trip, particularly considering the small portions. The restaurant is small with open seating which made it particularly unpleasant, as we were seated next to a group of six that were noisy as all get out. Would use someplace else next time in Sterling.

This was an overnight stop for is as they very kindly allowed us to park our motorhome overnight. Because of this we ate dinner in the pub which was absolutely delicious, the server recommended our dishes and she was correct. If I lived locally I'd return regularly. I've been here twice for a meal with the family while visiting our daughter at Sterling University.
On both occasions we've had good service and the food is big prtions and tastes good while remaining good value.
There's large TV's that were showing sports & also good background music. They have an open fire that make it a very cosy venue to relax at.
Note: they can't add tips onto card when paying the bill, so if you do like to tip, take some cash.

Highly Recommend.

Amazing place. Feels like stepping back in time. Lord of the rings and Harry Potter vibes. Real wood burning stove. Barmaid and barman make you feel at home not to mention the drinks are cheap as well. They could certainly charge a premium given its historic significance. A pity there’s no hot drinks in winter but it’s a traditional place! Soak it up!! Highly recommended and wish I’d stayed longer.

Meravilioso! Che posto fantastico. Escobar has been here three times already this week. First time for takeaway fish and chips which were great. Nice thin batter. Then for ice creams which were delicious. Then for our evening meal. The first time we tried to get in it was full up all night so we booked in the next time. Make sure that you book to avoid disappointment. Just ring up or pop in.
Our meal was excellent. Our host recommended a lovely bottle of wine. The food was delicious. It's great here because you can have half portions so I had half a portion of pasta and a seven inch pizza. Best of both worlds! The price was very good too and the service was very attentive.

My lamb was perfection, followed by the beef, which fell apart when I showed it my fork! It was historic. I finished with the cheese and only because I'm a cheddar-aholic did I find the portion just a little wee. However, what I had was just lovely. My friends thoroughly enjoyed the bisque, the beef and the pasta. The apple tart and rosemary ice cream was also well received. My other friend thinks he may have enjoyed the coconut rice pudding if it had been warm. As it was, he almost took the pattern off the plate. The staff were exemplary from the hostess (lovely lady) to the table/bar servers. Lots of smiles, so very rare nowadays. We've already booked for May.

This is one of the best Indian Restaurants we have eaten in and have now made it our “must go to” for Indian Cuisine.\nThe staff are very polite and attentive and recognise us as soon we walk through the door.\nSimple touches like assisting with coats arranging the serviettes (linen not paper)on your lap and prestigiously wiping your table after each course shows the training and dedication the management instil in their staff.\nThe food has the delicate spice flavours expected of Asian cuisine and the heat can be adjusted to suit your palate if requested.\nI especially enjoy their Lamb Tikka Jaipuri which is definitely the best I have tasted and is consistently the same on each occasion.\nMy wife particularly likes their Spicy Chicken Jalfrezzi with a Peshwari nan bread.\nThey obviously have a great deal of regular customers which is a great testament to any restaurant and well deserved.\nIf you are looking for genuine Indian food in a relaxed a welcoming environment then please have no hesitation in visiting the Spice Garden and you will not be disappointed.
