Capilla Tapas Restaurant

Stumbled into this little gem, food was delicious, staff were attentive and friendly. Ended up more than I should have as couldn’t decide what to have. Everything was delicious and cleared every plate.

Captain's Galley Restaurant

Arrived for lunch with ex colleagues expecting the regular menu, however the restaurant was offering a special Greek week menu ! Wow! What a fabulous lunch… we had several of the small sharing plates - which were absolutely delicious!! Great advice from the friendly waitress about how many portions would best suit us. We were too full for dessert but the chef accommodated our wish to finish with something sweet by offering us mini chocolate brownies with our coffee! So enjoyed by us all …. can’t wait to go back soon ! Thank you all at The Captain’s Galley!

Caffe Cardosi

Really lovely latte and piece of homemade cake. Cake was excellent and service was quick. This is a really well located coffee shop with loads of atmosphere and sensible prices.

Jamieson Bakery

Stopped by for brunch on our way to Durness. Very friendly cafe/bakery with perfectly toasted paninis and baked goods (we also had scones and scotch pie), good coffee and tea !

Pride of Bengal Indian Restaurant and Takeaway

We visited this restaurant while on vacation twice, a year apart. The food is consistently delicious, the staff is friendly and the prices very reasonable. Highly recommended ?

Thurso Community Café

What a wonderful place this has become. I'm sorry to say we only had an opportunity to visit once before moving out of the area.This is more than just a cafe that serves wholesome food and cakes, this is a community hub which cares about the most vulnerable in our society, and it deserves all the support it can be given :) Wonderful people and a wonderful concept that I hope inspires other places to follow suit across the UK :)Parking: Outside the cafe there is plenty of easy car parking for anyone wishing to visit.

The Grove Lounge

Haddock and cheesy mash was really tasty. Wife had the macaroni which we both agreed was the best we’ve had from a restaurant. Staff were friendly and they allow dogs which is a bonus!

Top Joe's

Good pub to visit when in Thurso. Pleasant watering hall says my husband! Good, fair prices and central. Service is attentive. We didn't eat there so I can not tell something about that.

Mr C's Bar

It's incredible venue for welcoming local artists such as Musicians Drag acts and more Simon is so Kind and friendly and all the staff are incredible they do really Good Cocktails too Highly recommend and Fantastic food Too and can't wait to do more drag shows here

Taco East

Taco East is a taco van based in Thurso but is also doing events at the John O Groats Mill in August & September. Book in your orders early to avoid disappointment!
We got the pork tacos which were delicious. About time Caithness got some Mexican food ?? very tasty ?

T's Café Restaurant

The food was fantastic all freshly made . However, waiting over 1 and a half hours for food isn't good when children involved. We were one of 2 table in the restaurant.

'The Upper Deck' restaurant

Excellent service, food, decor and views. A mix of Chilled music and a posh dining vibe. The smoked fish chawder was amazing with fresh warm bread. The sea bass was 2 huge fillets, big portion of new potatoes and broccoli. No room for afters but sure they would be just as good. Definitely recommend.

This is the second time we have dined here and it's absolutely fabulous atmosphere and outstanding food and excellent staff and very child friendly and hope too see you all soon

Was in today lovely little place. Crazy busy food was excellent. Will definitely be back. well done to the girls, they were so accommodating and couldn’t have been more polite about the fact there would be a little wait. 5 * to them.

Popeyes

Wonderful, friendly pub, stopped in before my ferry. Staff are lovely and the whole place has a super friendly vibe. Didn't try any, but food looks n smells cracking.

Tesco Cafe

Nice wee place and well looked after. The fayre is less so great for me but that's what Tesco's offer and the staff do their best.It's a good cuppa though.

Spice Tandoori

Very good Indian restaurant with extremely friendly service. They serve mostly Bangladeshi food, the quality of which is excellent. Try the specialties! Full recommendation.

Y Not Bar & Grill

The restaurant was super busy and we were a walk in, the staff were great and got us seated ASAP on one of the last tables.

The staff were super friendly, 2 of them doing front of house/serving at a full restaurant, and you could not tell! They were on it and hardly any delays at all!

Food was fab, good kids choice too...my sourdough pizza was the best I've ever had (although it was massive and I needed my husband and little girl to help finish it❤️).

Thanks very much for the warm welcome and excellent food...we needed that after a long day of travelling!

Johnstons Of Thurso

The staff here are very accommodating …… the hotel is a little dated but under new ownership so work in progress . The room was clean & comfortable and the food was excellent and great value , breakfast was included in the price , free car parking …. so all in all a great place to stay that won’t break the bank .

Thurso Best Kebab

Ordered takeaway from here after finishing lejog and the food was amazing. One of the best pizza's I've had for ages and the chips were superb. Shame I don't live nearer because this would be my new favourite takeaway place.
