The Cliffs, CheddarThe restaurant I would recommend for asian type of food. High quality ingredients, excellent service and real Chefs. It is a bit overwhelming the fact that is always packed and tiny and I am a bit claustrophobic sometimes but it is definitely worth to taste.

The Cliffs, CheddarDefinitely recommend the jacket potatoes and chilli on chips, both huge sized portions and lush staff and hospitality. We sat upstairs with the dog and the staff weren't bothered even when they had to step over her.

The Cider Barn
Draycott Rd, CheddarAbsolutely fantastic food and cider!! Black Jack's cider ? Handmade Pizzas ? Burger and chips ? Burgers were proper meaty burgers, no fast food or pub chain rubbish. All food and drinks loved by adults and kids alike. 2 pizzas and a portion of chips were more than enough for a family of 4 for a hearty lunch! Went back with a 9 pint bottle of Black Jack's to last us the rest of the holiday (more like a couple of nights ?). Prices are also very good.
Wouldn't hesitate coming here again! Extremely good service and very friendly landlord/owner.

The Cliffs, CheddarHad an amazing ham and cheddar ploughmans inside their lovely tea rooms. Lovely location, lovely food with a large choice, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend you visit.

2 The Cliffs, CheddarVisiting Cheddar I can thoroughly recommend a visit to this lovely Cafe and shop. Painted a bright yellow in colour you can't miss it. Very friendly staff and welcoming. Food is delicious fresh and made to order. A lovely pot of tea here with Cornish Pasty and Toasted Tea cake will set you up for walking in the area and seeing all the breathtaking lovely sights that Cheddar Gorge will offer you. The Goats on the Gorge are lovely to see and we saw many on our days visit there.

The Cliffs, CheddarMy husband and I very much enjoyed our visit here today, lovely tearoom and staff. I had the cream tea and my husband had the carrot and walnut cake with a coffee. The drinks and food were generous in size and very tasty! There are quite a few tea rooms in Cheddar, I'm glad we picked this one.

Cliff St, CheddarFish and chips were really good and a good portion size. Let down a bit by a chap behind the counter that was rude while ordering. All the others working were plenty enough though. Not expecting Michelin level service in a take away but to be told 'i haven't got time for this' when in an empty chippy and spending £60 on fish chips is not to be expected anywhere.

Waterfall cafe & Ice creams Ltd
The Cliffs, CheddarWhilst in Cheddar we visited for coffee/tea . We were greeted by a friendly staff member. Our order for the above was taken along with home made bread pudding which had a lovely cinnamon aroma too it, my wife acclaimed it as very good. A full menu of food is also available,a nice way to relax for half an hour to watch the world go by.

5 The Cliffs, CheddarFood, service and location are amazing. There is a paid car parking opposite to the shop and near to cliff street car park. We have started our trip with snacks and explored the area, when we have completed the trip and were very tired and looking for place to eat then that Cheddar kebab kitchen took our attention and increased our appetite. We decided to try the menu. The service was very professional. The staff told us that food is halal as well.
Our food was very delicious, including lamb and chicken shish, kebabs, chips, salad etc
Enjoyed our food and kids didn't hesitated to finish their portions as well. Thanks for the wonderful food and service.

7 Cliff St, CheddarSuch a good Chinese (and I used to work in a high-end Chinese restaurant, so have had a few dishes in my time!). The Chef is a young man from China ( Xiamen in Fijian Provence). The dishes were delicious and I'd eat there every day of our trip if my waistline would allow!

The Cliffs, CheddarThe sandwich was on the pricey side. However, it was delicious. They offer authentic Cornish pastries, which my friend had and was impressed. The vibe is cozy and warm. Lots of cheesy options are available, being located in the high street area of Cheddar.

Riverside Inn Cheddar
Cliff St, CheddarWe had a lovely meal at this very spacious and welcoming pub. Three members of the party had the Sunday roast. There was an option of different meats. The service was spot on. We were attended to very quickly and the food arrived well presented and hot. There were other choices on the menu too.
The pub and it's garden areas were lovely and clean. The restaurant and bar staff were all very friendly and polite, nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend this place to others.
