Ashtead Cafe
Craddocks Parade, AshteadWe visited this cafe while on a road trip, travelling from Australia. The cafe had lots of seating (appears they may have undergone recent renovations), was clean and bright, the menu was extensive, the food was served very quickly and was piping hot and the wait staff were really friendly (even giving my daughter a lollipop at the end of our meal). Wish this was closer so I could visit again.

70 The St, AshteadWe went with a party of ten for a birthday celebration. We could only manage starters and main courses, all of which were delicious, including pastas, pizzas and specials. Some people had to take home doggie bags. Friendly service and great value, a lovely evening altogether.

74 The St, AshteadDropped in for cocktails and nibbles. Cocktails were from a limited choice but the staff were willing to try to make others not on the menu! Makes a nice change from a regular pub and there is a quiet sitting area out the back (with several parrots, most of which appeared to have been nailed to their perches!).

1 Craddocks Ave, AshteadThis is the best curry restaurant I know. The staff are so friendly and the food is always excellent. It's bring your own alcohol so don't forget to bring your own. I would definitely recommend it but better to book first for Fridays and Saturdays.

The Leg of Mutton and Cauliflower
48 The St, AshteadQuite a large building but I'm not sure if the pub extends to the upper floors at all. Lots of space with a bar in front, a number of rooms moving toward the back leading to a large beer garden (partly covered) out the back (with it's on little stone henge). The staff was lovely and engaging, although keen to leave some mystery re the old mirror covered in ties over the fireplace in the bar. The Guinness was excellent as was the Timothy Taylor's Landlord.

34 The St, AshteadVery tasty takeaway again last night, everything tasted very fresh. Especially like the Nava crispy chicken cashew. Request a delivery time of 8pm, food arrived on time and hot. Definitely our favorite Thai in the area.

15 The St, AshteadCame here for the first time on Sunday with the family. All ordered roasts. I was immediately blown away by how friendly and sweet the staff were. They brought over a bowl of water and dig treats for my little dog, gave pens and paper so my son could draw. I asked for extra jug of gravy and mint sauce which was instantly on standby. The food was gorgeous, better potatoes than mine and the chicken was massive, more like a double portion! So impressed I said at the table I gotta write a review! Weldone guys, I can't wait to come back again :)

Lots of different dishes to choose from. Staff are friendly and the food is always amazing! So, delicious and consistent.

The Street Thai Restaurant
61A The St, AshteadI live in Ashtead and as a family we love Thai food and used to go to Esher and other areas for Thai. I found this place with my son and tried it a few months ago and we were amazed at the quality of the food, the presentation, the taste and the service. For something similar in one of other usual places, we would be paying a lot more for it and this is walking distance from our house. We have now been over 10 times and with friends and this has easily replaced all of the others. I believe that we have tried virtually everything on the menu and been thrilled at the consistently great food they serve. My son particularly loved the tempura, which is his favourite, and he says that it is the best he's ever had.

6 Pleasure Pit Rd, AshteadReally lovely afternoon tea at the Olive Tree. The food was plentiful and very fresh. Plenty of tea and the service was excellent. The manager and deputy manager were exceptionally lovely and friendly and so helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

1-5 Rectory Ln, AshteadI would 100% recommend dining at Ashtead Balti it’s easily one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. The atmosphere is warm and cosy, the staff are wonderfully hospitable, and the food is absolutely delicious. The spice levels are perfectly balanced, with a beautiful blend of flavours. Best of all, they happily cater to your preferences a huge plus if you’re a picky eater like me! Hands down, a fantastic dining experience.

9 Craddocks Parade, AshteadI was working and a client wanted fush and chips for her dinner. To save her going out at night I wrnt and got them .
The portion was huge and im pretty sure would hace done her lunch next day too. Everything was cooked fresh to order. I was extremely tempted to get some for myself too but I was still working.
