What a delightfully hidden treasure. Just home form a lovely evening with my sister and mother. Front of house lady friendly and very attentive. Food was wonderfully tasty. We all agreed would will definitely be back and with more of the family. Make sure you use the postcode ending 7BQ not 7FE. 3 very happy

A really special stay.We were greeted by the manager. Who showed us to our accommodation. We stayed in the barn and it was modern, clean, warm and comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities along with towels and a little mint chocolate on the bed.We ate at the pub which had great food choice. I had sticky beef salad. For kids: Great food choice for simple kids favorites. The lady even gave my daughter a Princess pack of colouring books, dot-to-dot at the dinner table to keep her entertained. A really lovely touch.The pub was a proper pub and so felt cozy, friendly and had a typical English pub ambiance.The location was quiet. There were plenty of car parking spaces and nice walks over the back fields.Dog friendly: they are super dog friendly here. With bowls laid out and biscuits for your dog. ?We didn't stay long enough to explore the area properly as we were taking part in a race at Gatton Park.

The Reading Room Coffee and Cake House

Amazing stop for cycling with great food and a handy side passage to store bikes. I find the nice real chocolate sprinkles on the cappuccino to be amazing. Staff super friendly and range of savoury items, especially the toasted sandwiches to be excellent.

I called in for the first time yesterday morning after swimming in the lake. What a wonderful deli this is. I had the best baguette ever! I asked for an avocado, salad and chilli jam. It wasn’t on the menu but told that it was no bother for them to make. The bread was so fresh and every ingredient inside that baguette was fabulous. The shop has a lovely selection of cards, cakes, deli items etc etc I will definitely be back. The young lady who served me was so lovely and had the biggest smile. Really made my morning. Thank you so much

A good old English pub . A lovely choice of food. However the drinks were expensive ? we spent £13 on 3 drinks . One drink was a soft drink. I only had a half pint of guiness. Overall a lovely pub . Very historic.
