63 Front St, Tynemouth, North ShieldsI came here on the morning of the 10th September with my bestie & my cousin.The breakfast was by far the best we’d had in a long time.Excellent value,great presentation & the vegetarian sausages were the tastiest I’d ever eaten.Staff went above and beyond for us.we highly recommend here and will definitely be back .

Passage To India
24 Nile St, North ShieldsUsed to use this place years ago but moved to spice bay. They were closed today so decided to use a passage to India. We were not disappointed beautiful food. They were late for the delivery but rang us to update us and threw in some free pompoms. Excellent food and service.

We popped in just as they were getting ready to close and unlike some places they welcomed us with a smile and were very helpful. Very comfortable and friendly place to unwind with a delicious drink or bite to eat.

U8, The Beacon Centre, 40 Bedford St, North ShieldsA taste of Tyneside. Highly recommended for stotty cake, peach melba, custard donuts, meat and vegetable and cheese pasties. Coffee is cheap and cheerful and a total bargain. Eat in or takeaway. As despised by all Guardian readers.

Coble Dene, North ShieldsGreat place for food and drink, we have dined here a fair few times. However I would have marked it 5* but marked down 1* as every time we have been in for food, when some of our party have finished the meal and others are still eating the waitress comes over and starts clearing the table, this is totally wrong and the establishment could teach the staff who are waiting/serving tables that it's good service to wait until all the party have stopped eating. \nI know it may not bother some people, but it's wrong and it's infuriating as you're eating and someone keeps clearing the table as every member of your party clears their plate.

62 Church Way, North ShieldsJust happened to be passing this Pizza place as I got peckish so popped in and ordered a small sweet chilli chicken pizza even though it did not appear to be the most inviting place. It was delicious, can't recall ever having a pizza that tasted as good, mind you my normal pizza experience is supermarket pizza but since this was the best pizza I've had for at least 20 years I thought I'd give it a mention.

Quality Pizza
Dove House, 5 John St, Cullercoats, North ShieldsGood choice of food options. I chose a pizza as they say they do the best pizza around and I wasn't disappointed. I also had a portion of chips and although they were deep fried they were not greasy at all. Check the price as they tried to over charge me.

I dont live in the UK, so I called to place an order to be delivered as a surprise for my brother, ( I am technically challenged so wanted to speak to someone) A gentleman answered and I explained what I was doing, I placed the order but for some reason it wouldn't take my card. So he told me just to place the order on line and he would keep an eye open for. I believe he said his name was Sean/Shaun. He even asked if I wanted to put a message in for my brother ( which I did) . My brother received the order and said it was delicious, house Kebab and pizza.
I have to say I was really impressed by Sean/Shaun kindness and patience. When ever I am back home I will definitely be placing more orders.

7-9 Phoenix Chase, North ShieldsBeen getting takeaway for a while but tonight I went in ordered my husband was talking to our nephew outside in his works van, owner of takeaway told him to move I said he is talking to his uncle who he has not seen in a while. Owners attitude was rubbish it is a public parking space not owned by takeaway. Crap attitude

Hotspur St, Tynemouth, North ShieldsNice comfortable venue with a good atmosphere with a varied drinks menu on offer , food was nice, albeit smallish portions , 4 of us had 1 Beef , 1 Fish and Chips, 1 Pork and 1 Prawn Cocktail with Skin on Fries , probably just the Sunday lunch that was on the small side but all was enjoyable in a really nice atmosphere.

The Cannon Inn, Coast Rd, North ShieldsHadn't been for a few years and thought there was still a good selection of tasty favourites. The freedom to taste loads of different dishes and keep going back for as much as you like is well worth the price (Sunday night grand buffet was £21, which isn't bad these days) Loads of dessert options too. Polite, efficient staff never far away.

This is a proper chippy, the fish always cooked fresh to order. Never had any problems. Can get busy on warm sunny days when everyone heads to the coast.

Brewhouse Bank, North ShieldsI have been to Low lights Tavern quite a few times and sampled all their pies! The food is top quality and have never been disappointed! Today I had my favourite, steak and ale pie with chips and gravy. It was absolutely delicious! Staff are really friendly greeting you with a smile! Service is quick and easy. I Would definitely recommend!!

Always able to accommodate my food allergy and I’ve never been ill after eating. The staff are the friendliest, most amazing people who truly care about their cafe and their customers! Joe's Chinese Restaurant
59 Bedford St, North ShieldsPhenomenal value. I ordered the set menu for one on a Friday night. Wee snacky spring rolls are always fun and the ribs were sticky, sweet, and comforting. I was pleasantly surprised to see full size servings of rice and chicken satay in the bag. Satay sauce was nice and spicy, the chicken was clean and well cooked, and the dish was packed with veggies so good and filling. Cost less than a tenner and I got it within ten minutes of ordering. Super generous and tasty, I'm looking forward to working my way through the menu.
