80-82 Ocean Rd, South ShieldsCame here for mid-week a late lunch/early dinner with my mum, sister and two baby nieces. Happy timing coincidence meant that we were able to partake in the 'happy hour' offer meaning that we got two courses at a cheaper than standard rate. \n\nUpon entering, we were immediately greeted and shown to our pre-booked table. The young waiter and waitress who saw to us were super helpful in getting us highchairs and reorganising the table to get us settled. We were given ample time to get adjusted before being promoted for a drinks order. When it came to ordering our food, the young waitress gave the upmost care and attention around catering to our dietary requirements with milk allergies etc. Every detail was seen to and answered, with zero impatience. There wasn't a long wait time on food and when it came it was delightful! We didn't feel rushed out and were able to completely relax. Staff were lovely and attentive.\n\nOverall experience was amazing. Plus the decor is so cool! Thank you very much. We'll definitely be back ?

Mixed starter to share was absolutely incredible, such an array of flavours and a great was to taste a little bit of everything. For main I had the stir fried chicken with cashew nuts and my partner had the green curry with chicken. My dish was so delicious, the nuts really added to the flavours and the chicken was so tender, they were both served with the fluffiest rice. I ended with and ice cream and my husband a coffee.
We left with full tummy’s and will definitely be back!

But please note that it can getvrealy busy so may not be able to sit down, and can get quite a queue, along as you don't mind a little wait.Vegetarian options: Vegan sausage rolls are a great alternative.Kid-friendliness: Great place to have snack before tea.Wheelchair accessibility: Large open door if you use walking stick/frame or mobility scooter. They had literally just opened the doors but happily accommodated my early lunch request. The turkey roast was tasty with a good chuck of meat and all the usual trimmings, great value for money too. \n\nIt’s such a lovely pub with lush views, lots of different sports showing on the many TVs, a fab looking beer garden and amazing service - defo worth a visit.

The food arrived promptly and Syed provided excellent recomendations over the phone. The flavours were outstanding, thanks to a perfect blend of fresh and dried spices. Generous portions of meat meant there was enough left overs for lunch the next day. Highly recommend giving them a try.

4 Burrow St, South ShieldsI don't usually leave reviews on a takeaway but I think everyone needs to hear about this hidden gem. Food arrived 40 mins before it was due and on good Friday. We were given free mini spring rolls and prawn crackers. The special fried rice was absolutely unreal. The soft noodles were perfect, not too greasy or salty as you sometimes find. The salt and pepper crispy beef was perfect. The honey chilli pork was really good, very crispy coating lovely sauce and not too much veg but the veg was crunchy and delicious. The mixed starter was great value and all items were lovely. Cannot fault this Chinese, very pleasantly surprised and would highly recommend.

Value for money costing £12.50, it's as good a fish and chips as you can get south of the Tyne.
The people in the queue were nice friendly people too.

The atmosphere was good, the bar staff were brilliant and the quiz was very fun! We even got a free pizza!! Didn’t win the quiz tho. Oh well. Lovely little seating area for groups too. Highly recommend this pub for quizzes and drinks!

Ordering was hassle free,very wide selection of meals to choose from and also set meals on offer as well. Pickle tray was well stocked, perhaps slightly expensive for one person but ample for 2 to 3 people to share. Main course very generous portion and nicly presented with good flavour. Don't overdo ordering rice and naans unless you are very hungry, you don't need too many extras.

Luigi’s was one of the options on Ubereats but I was put off my some of the negative reviews as I am fussy. I decided to order anyways. Im so glad I did as I am absolutely blown away honestly, to the point I had to ring up and tell them how good the food is and I’ve never done that before in my life. Best take away I’ve had in a long time. I ordered Margarita Pizza, Wedges, Chilli and Garlic. Portion sizes are huge, pizza is PERFECTION and the sauces are just unreal. This is 1000% my new regular.

16 Mile End Rd, South ShieldsA very lively and good Wetherspoons. Staff great. Only issue is problem with it's serving at the bar. They need to make their mind up. Had signs along bar telling people not to queue just go to bar so people did that. Then removed signs so people started to queue again. Quite orderly. But other customers followed what they had been told by signs to go straight to bsr and not queue. Saw some pretty heated arguments where people felt people were queue jumping. Make your mind up management and get staff to look around and remember order customers were waiting the way it used to happen in pubs. Either organise a queue system or make it clear not to queue and wait at bar with staff who look around abd notice when customers arrive.

The food was absolutely delicious, and they were incredibly accommodating to my gluten and dairy intolerances. Despite having a large family, they managed to seat us all comfortably at a big table.
