55 High St, Builth WellsWe had such a lovely experience at The Feast in Builth Wells. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming, which really added to the cosy and inviting atmosphere.
The food was absolutely outstanding full of flavour and beautifully presented. The dynamite prawns and chicken gyozas were both exceptional, bursting with taste and cooked to perfection. I also tried the kung pao cauliflower, which was a real highlight so delicious that I could happily eat it again and again!
It’s rare to find a place that combines great service, a relaxed setting, and food that exceeds expectations, but The Feast manages it effortlessly. I highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area you won’t be disappointed!

Vegetarian options: The macaroni cheese was really good, and there were other options for vegetarians too
Kid-friendliness: The staff were lovely to my kids and gave them plenty of options for food to cater for various appetites. They were really chatty and friendly and gave the kids reading and colouring books as soon as we sat down

I was last here 40+ years ago for the Man v horse race so enjoyed all the photos on the walls.

Dolecoed Rd, Llanwrtyd WellsWe’ve just had such a lovely meal at Drovers Rest. The food was excellent quality and really good value for money. The chef even popped out to say hello, which was a really nice touch. The service was spot on from start to finish, and the complimentary glasses of prosecco and a fresh rose on the way out made it feel extra special. The cute Valentine’s decor just topped off a great evening.

Enormous selection of cakes and bakes, light bites menu, daily specials and afternoon tea (book in advance for this)
The decor is so charming with lots of original features from Victorian times and they have made it so cosy with varied welcoming sofas in one area and crisp white table cloths in the other. There are even warm blankets provided for sitting at the covered outside tables. The staff are wonderful, really welcoming, so helpful and just the right amount of chatty. Was told they only opened in May 2025, so glad to have discovered this place!

Middleton St, Llandrindod WellsI don't normally write reviews but having seen the one star review whilst looking for the menu online I felt I had to leave a review.
We too had a Salt and Pepper share box and it was lovely. Lots of food and it was all really well cooked, lightly battered, the chicken was fresh and tasty.
Great salt and pepper flavouring that the Golden Dragon prepares and the onions add to the flavour.
As always, a great takeaway, thank you Golden Dragon! ?

Station Rd, Builth WellsWhat can I say about this place, it is awesome, they had these things called sausage rolls, which are very difficult to describe. A sausage roll, is one of Greggs’ most iconic items, is a roll of puff pastry wrapped around a long, thin piece of seasoned ground meat (kind of like a soft, spiced meat filling). It’s baked until the pastry is crispy and the inside is hot and flavorful. The meat in the centre is something that Gregg's invented and they called it sausage.

4 West St, Builth WellsThe FOOD IS OUT OF THIS WORLD the pizza is fluffy and soft, they are cooked to perfect crunch not anywhere near burnt at all on any spot of the pizza, literally the perfect pizza, and the cheesy chips ARE LEGENDARY mozzerla and cheddar topped literally cooked to perfection with a light salting first time using them, and every time I'm in town I'm 3000% coming back literally the best food I have ever had, THANK YOU KEBAB 2000 for actually knowing what food really is
