Visited last night for the first time in a while, and the quality of the food and the service is still amazing. Really friendly, efficient staff and extensive menu. We all had Rib-Eye steaks for main, and the meat was perfectly cooked, and really tasty. Chips were the best for a very long time. Overall a 100% experience!

Amazing service and delicious food at the Hop Inn again today. They really went above and beyond for me - as a vegetarian coeliac I often struggle to get a decent Sunday roast. Not at the Hop!! I come here for gigs. The live music space is down a few steps and separate to the main bar. It has a small stage, and an audience space for about 150-200. Also has its own bar.
The sound at the gigs I've been to has been excellent and bands often comment about how good it is and how much they like playing there.
A must for alternative music lovers.
There is no on-site parking but there are car parks within a few minutes walk.

Had a birthday party in a nearby pottery shop for my youngest boy. He chose here to have something to eat with this friends afterwards. Prices are very reasonable and the quality was very good. Staff made the children very welcome. I had a sausage, bacon and egg roll and was very impressed with this. Large bread roll, runny (not snotty) fried egg, decent bacon and a very flavoursome sausage. Nothing fancy about the decor but who cares when the food is so good. Also made a decent strong tea. Thank you everyone, kids loved it.

Yea, go go you lovely little cafe in the heart of town. Where locals meet for nice nosh to eat. Trad cafe English breakfasts very good value, served quick and hot. No GF options but I'm not too strict, and had scrambled eggs and hash browns, instead of toast. Quieter upstairs, away from the lively atmosphere downstairs, it is also lovely to sit outside under the canopy, and watch life go by.

Went to Kutting Chai with my friends and it felt like a mini trip to Mumbai. The cafe-style vibe is fun, casual and full of character. We tried a mix of Bombay street food favourites and everything tasted authentic and full of flavour. The vada pav, pav bhaji, and masala chai were spot on authentic and comforting. Staff were friendly and service was quick. A great spot if you’re craving real Indian street food with a cozy café twist. Definitely going back soon!

Food wise the place is worth the 3 stars. I disagree with the other reviewer that the sausage is the highlight of the dish, it's actually average.

Cappuccino is very good though.

I had my 50th Birthday Party at the Moonies. The function room is lovely, and a great size. Paula is so friendly and helpful and the buffet was very good value with a great selection of food. Many of my guests commented on how good it was. Would highly recommend having a party here.

Staying at a campsite nearby, decided to try Dolphin Fish bar to feed 2 adults and 2 kids. Absolutely beautiful food, we had fish, chips and kebab, all absolutely perfect and huge portions, the best of all, actual proper chip shop gravy!
Gutted we live so far away as would 1000000% visit again!

I dunno about the deers leap but I do know that on Saturday from 4:30 till late and on Sunday 2:30 till evening there is a Jamaican food van that sits in the car park of the pub and I will say the food is good! So go check it out!

This place is an absolute gem for a Sunday roast! They offer an amazing selection of meats and a standout nut roast - which, by the way, was one of the best I've ever had. The nut roast had this fantastic mix of nuts and woodland mushrooms, and it wasn't dry at all. Every roast came with a ton of veggies, including carrot and potato mash, roast carrots, roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, broccoli, and massive, homemade Yorkshire puddings. The food was top-notch, super generous portions, and it honestly felt like Christmas dinner - that lovely over-full feeling afterwards! I'd totally recommend the Highworth - it's worth splurging on, every penny!
