The Golden Eagle
Chesham Rd, Ashley Green, CheshamWe went for dinner at the Golden Eagle after seeing another positive review online, and we weren't disappointed! After a lovely interaction with the landlord/chef on the phone I had high hopes, especially after he mentioned they do a tasting menu. During our experience the service was excellent - especially from Ellina (so sorry if it's spelt wrong!). Every single dish was full of flavour and really enjoyable, special shout out to the coronation chicken and the biscoff dessert! We then had the pleasure of speaking at length with Chris and Ellina after the meal about their journey so far and their future plans for the pub.
It's got a lovely mix of traditional local boozer and a great dining experience to give you a complete treat of an evening! Thank you to The Golden Eagle, see you at Christmas and many evenings leading up to it! ☺️

The White Hart PH
Whelpley Hill, CheshamHad a lovely meal on a Thursday evening. We booked a table for four but it was our first visit so not sure if it was necessary. It's not a large place and several other tables were occupied. The food was all prepared and cooked on the premises and was off excellent quality. Will definitely be returning

Jasmine Thai Kitchen
51 High St, CheshamWe love this restaurant, firstly because it's a local spot, and secondly because the atmosphere is so relaxed and welcoming.
The staff are incredibly accommodating and friendly, making it hard not to return. What I appreciate most is how they cater to my fussy toddler— they happily prepare a simple plate of plain noodles, which she eats every time. The level of accommodation is fantastic.
The prices are reasonable and affordable. We've visited several times and will definitely be coming back.

The Crown PH
Blackwell Hall Ln, Ley Hill, CheshamWe visited on a wallet watchers Wednesday, and had a great meal! Two courses for just £12 a person! The food was great, and portion sizes where spot on and despite the pub being rammed the staff where attentive and the food arrived in good time. I can see why it is so popular. The pub seems to have been recently renovated and was incredibly welcoming, highly recommended and we will be returning!

Wotnot Vintage Cafe
7 High St, CheshamVery interesting place
Assumed to be the “Mad Hatter”s shop in Alice in Wonderland. Roger Crabb (c1621) returned back to Chesham to do his old job, shaping hats with mercury and thus became Mad. A nice coffee shop and the owner tells the story. Coffee walnut cake served in nice Queen Anne china plates which is my fine line. Johnny Depp came to visit here and sit in this bench to catch the mood of Mad Hatter.

The Drawingroom (restaurant&music venue)
Francis Yard, East St, CheshamSing, O Muse, of that most hallowed night, where food, fellowship, and music wove a tapestry of rapture! At The Drawing Room in Chesham, no mere house of feasting, but a temple where the senses were exulted, the weary traveler found not only sustenance but a banquet for the soul.\n\nLo, the food! A triumph of craft, each dish a hymn to the gods of flavor, where spices whispered secrets and sauces sang on the tongue. But greater still was the company—minds ablaze with wit, strangers bound by laughter, lifted by the joy of kindred spirits found beneath one roof.\n\nYet what is a feast without song? Behold, the music! No faint background murmur, but a force that seized the heart, pulled it skyward, and set it ablaze. Here, the air thrummed with melody, and the walls held the echoes of legends past and voices rising to claim their place among them. Strings wept and roared, drums pounded like the pulse of the earth, and the crowd, enraptured, swayed as one—a ship upon a wild and glorious sea.\n\nIn this place, time was vanquished, worries unmade, and the night stretched into eternity. The Drawing Room of Chesham stands not merely as a venue, but as a beacon, where the hungry are sated, the soul is stirred, and music reigns, a god among mortals.

King Charles
Chesham Rd, CheshamThere was difficulty booking the special New Year 3-course meal as we didn't want to book online & manager insisted on cash payment as apposed to card payment for BOTH deposit & balance. However the courses were timely served by friendly competent staff and food was very delicious and well presented. The ambience was pleasantly festive and we had a good time.

The Full Moon
Cholesbury Ln, Hawridge, CheshamFour of us had lunch here today and all the meals were excellent. The pie of the day, chicken and ham, was beautifully cooked. We were given a friendly welcome and shown to our table, then the charming landlady came back promptly to take our drinks order. The meals were freshly cooked to order and delicious. This is a great place for lunch.
I highly recommend it.

Bubbles Fish & Chips
149 Sunnyside Rd, CheshamI discovered Bubbles a year ago when I moved into the area, and regularly have fish n chips here, so i feel i can provide an accurate honest review especially on consistency of food and service. I have to say it's the best fish I have had, including at many pubs, its not greasy and fresh. My family have had burgers and other items from here and enjoyed them. The staff and owner who cooks and serves are always friendly and the shop is clean. The service has always been excellent, it is an independent business which I love to support and they make food to order, which is wonderful, so call ahead. I'm surprised at negative reviews making me suspicious that its competitors who have a hidden agenda.

Rocce Woodstone Pizza
50 Broad St, CheshamThe pizzas are absolutely delicious here. I recommend trying the different types instead of always going with the same one as they make some really nice pizza bases and toppings. I usually order online and collect it and they are always on time. The value for money is also better than the others in the area.

Brown Sugar
74 The Broadway, High St, CheshamAlways a pleasure to go in. Hot food and a Full English, breakfast with toast and 2 cups of tea for about £9.50 so just under a tenner, that’s pretty good. And also you could have substitutes of things like beans, instead of tomatoes and hashbrowns instead of mushrooms. And he won’t charge you extra which I think is really good.

The Burger Box - Chesham
50B Broad St, CheshamJust picked up some food from Burger Box ?? — the food was really good and didn’t take long at all ⏱️?
But when I asked the guy for tissue… he gave me just ONE ? Like bro, what am I supposed to do with that? Wipe one lip? ?
If you need more than a tiny dab, make sure you ask clearly: “Can I have 2–3 tissues please?” ???
Food: ???
Tissue service: ?♂️?

Pizza Go Go
13 White Hill, CheshamExcellent. The pizza delicious according to my partner. As a coeliac (who doesn’t mind cross contamination) the twister fries and the bbq wings were SO good. The wings aren’t breadcrumbed and the twister fries are potato. Probably cooked in same oil but that doesn’t bother me. Lovely staff, great food.

Eat To The Beat Ltd
Unit 1, Symmetry Park, Laurenson Way, AylesburyWithout a doubt the best catering company ever, I have toured for years with Eat To The Beat feeding us and it's always special. The way you know ETTB is so good I'd when the pressure is on, as it was at the start of COVID-19. All touring music crew were laid off and a lot of us built hospitals. GIG provided is with food, and even on the tight budgets they faced the quality of the food never dropped. It is was and always will be the best.

Restaurant 1838
Church Ln, Latimer, CheshamWe ate at the restaurant whilst staying one night at the hotel to celebrate our 38th Wedding Anniversary. The food was excellent, but the service was slow. Also, when my wife asked for any type of non-alcoholic cocktail, we were told this was not possible, which was both disappointing and surprising for an establishment of this quality. However, at the end of the meal, when asked by the operations manager Seif to comment on the restaurant, I politely and gently shared my thoughts as above. Immediately, he apologised to my wife and arranged for a complementary virgin mohito to be made for her, which was beautifully made by Karina, who also produced a complimentary desert and a "hand-painted" chocolate sign wishing us a "Happy Anniversary". They also removed the cost of our desserts from the bill. Seif and Karina went beyond the call of duty to turn a slightly negative experience into a very positive one. Thank you.

Greggs
49 High St, CheshamVery typical of the Gregg’s chain providing a good selection of snacks and drinks at a reasonable price. This branch looks well maintained and kept clean and the staff are friendly and professional. It has a small area outside in the pedestrianised part of Chesham with four or five tables where you can sit and eat or drink your purchases.Recommended for a quick snack or lunch at reasonable prices but today’s standards.
