We had a lovely short break at The Chain Locker. Nothing was too much trouble; we were well looked after by all the lovely staff especially Josh, Guy and Teona.
The food was excellent, especially the breakfasts which set us up for the day.
Our room was small but perfectly formed with three windows overlooking the harbour.

Decided to eat here, based on the reviews, whilst on holiday. Could not fault the food, we had the cod and chips with battered sausage, mushy peas and curry sauce. Everything cooked to perfection, fresh flakey fish in a light crispy batter..chips were slightly crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle, mushy peas were mushy and the curry sauce was sweet and tangy..staff were friendly, food arrived quickly..highly recommend based on my experience.

This is a nice pub (with the usual selection of Cornish ales) with a medium-high-end restaurant. My Goan veg curry was fantastic, with plenty of cauliflower, savoy cabbage and sweet potato populating the small sea of coconut cream, pea and broad bean broth. The gentle curry notes were amplified by the chilli oil sprinkled liberally through it. It came with an equally-spectacular garlic bread round. Would eat again, as soon as able (it was filling, too).
My partner had a slow-roast cherry tomato ragu with fresh papadelle, this had received a lot of care but was a little heavy.
Service was cheerful, if a ~little~ slow, the beer was well-kept and It’s not their fault if the Cornish ale scene is on the dull side!

We booked Above The Bay 1 month before our big day due to a venue change, and I must say, they absolutely smashed it.

The process of getting everything sorted was stress free, professional and accommodating!

The staff and events team are Incredible, not only are they excellent at what they do, they have fun doing it. Nothing is too much and they always went above and beyond.

Sophie made the whole process headache free and clear when planning our reception.

I’ll break it down some more below:

The Venue: Modern, spacious, light and amazingly situated (the views are the best around)

The food: with the venue change our wedding breakfast menu changed also, but this wasn’t a problem and they came up with a fantastic, delicious menu and it was a hit with all our family and friends, high praises all round!

Parking: Plentiful, with an overflow if needed AND brilliantly placed disabled spaces.

Staff: As said above, we know hospitality can be hectic and stressful, but all of them were fantastic and happy to be there, they really have a great team dynamic and they’re super attentive.

Facilities: Clean, fresh and modern toilets and well appointed accessible WCs.

I could go into super detailed, but if you’ve read this far take my word for it, if you’re planning a wedding in Falmouth, don’t look anywhere else, pop up for a drink and take the venue in, you will want to have your special day here.

Walked in on the off chance we might be served and the young waitress was incredibly helpful. After checking with the chef, we were offered a customised menu to handle my gluten intolerance. Food was served promptly and didn't disappoint. Whilst the dessert option was only a gf brownie it was one of the best I've had. Salted caramel flavour and gooey as a good brownie should be. Served warm with two shops of ice cream.
Also discovered after they are happy to do takeaway, which is handy if you're staying in Pendra Loweth.

Went to Fives to watch the rugby, so good that they are now showing all kinds of sports. TVs located all around so you can always see. Delicious pizza with new and different pizzas regularly added to the menu which keeps it fresh. Had the Brisket one on this visit which was perfect and then obviously a few cyders. During the sport, staff were roaming around with tablets to take orders and the food and drinks arrived so quick.

This is my favourite place in the UK to go for a drink and some tasty food. It is totally unique. The people who frequent Provedore are from all walks of life and all ages. Everyone there is pleased to be there and it is so friendly. This is mostly to do with the owners, Tim behind the bar and his wife, Bev, making the lovely food. I live 264 miles from Falmouth but it is the highlight of our trips down to Falmouth four times a year and when I’m at home in Surrey I often wish I was there. It’s that sort of place.

Beacon was recommended to me by a friend who used to live in Falmouth; she said it was the best coffee in town and I must agree! The guys working the counter were friendly, taking the time to explain the different blends available and offering suggestions. I ordered a flat white made with a Rwanda blend from Cuppers Choice and it was probably the best flat white I've ever had! 10/10 recommend stopping in!

Visited for breakfast this Sunday morning. The cafe was busy and buzzy, we were greeted straight away and shown to a table. We assumed there would be a wait on food and drinks as a few people ordered at the same time as us, but service was super fast.
The breakfasts were honestly delicious, feel good food, not too heavy or greasy and felt very homemade. Loved it! Best breakfast we’d had in ages. Will be back!

Nothing fancy about this place. It's a pub and a proper pub. Bar area was packed when I visited (it's a small bar) and full of atmosphere. That said I wasn't waiting long to be served. There is a pool room and I was able to take a seat in there and enjoy my pint.
This place is worth seeking out if you enjoy a good pint in a traditional pub with very reasonable prices. I haven't paid less than a fiver for a pint in ages.

First time visiting The Prince of Wales, a very nice relaxing atmosphere, very friendly helpful staff. The prices are very reasonable, the cheese board was lovely, one of the best I have ever had, lots of different cheeses, lots of crackers, chutney’s plus some meats. Along with the pickled onions, olives and stuffed mini tomatoes made for a wonderful feast with my glass of wine that was included. I will definitely be going back there next June when I next visit Cornwall.

Came here for a group meal and throughly enjoyed the experience. Great variety of dishes perfect for sharing. Atmosphere and very helpful staff. Scallops were delicious.

This is the place to go for real ale in Falmouth. Nine hand-pulls, changing frequently, and not overwhelmed by the usual Tribute and Proper Job either. The space looked like an old shed, all white-washed brick and a low vaulted ceiling, classic rock on the speakers. Locals, tourists, and beer snobs come and go. Out the back is a beer garden in case of sunshine. Lovely little spot worth returning to.

Hands down the best traditional Carbonara I've tasted in the UK. If I had the option I would be having it every single day, absolutely no regrets.
Service was amazing and personal without being forced, just human and natural.
Also, the Tiramisu was better than my mother's but noone tell her that.

We stopped in for lunch during a trip to Falmouth for the day - so early afternoon - the food was so good and filling (in the best way) that I didn't need to eat anything until the next morning.

Prompt service, excellent quality and value, delicious food, friendly staff and great atmosphere.
