A wonderful place! The food is well-made and flavorful, and a small menu means they execute well on a few things rather than trying to do a ton and getting over-extended. The menu changes often, so it may not be useful to cite it, but my pork was out of this world! Quiet and peaceful.

The Ranch

Ribs were perfectly slow-cooked, meat fell from the bone. The glazing was however very sweet (more honey, Wjereas I prefer smokey glaze). served as a half rack with 5 chicken wings (in the same sticky glaze) covered in crispy dried onions and fries. My wife had the Southern fried chicken burger, which was good, if a little dry. Prices fair (£44 for the two dishes)

Decided to eat here, based on the reviews, whilst on holiday. Could not fault the food, we had the cod and chips with battered sausage, mushy peas and curry sauce. Everything cooked to perfection, fresh flakey fish in a light crispy batter..chips were slightly crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle, mushy peas were mushy and the curry sauce was sweet and tangy..staff were friendly, food arrived quickly..highly recommend based on my experience.

This is a nice pub (with the usual selection of Cornish ales) with a medium-high-end restaurant. My Goan veg curry was fantastic, with plenty of cauliflower, savoy cabbage and sweet potato populating the small sea of coconut cream, pea and broad bean broth. The gentle curry notes were amplified by the chilli oil sprinkled liberally through it. It came with an equally-spectacular garlic bread round. Would eat again, as soon as able (it was filling, too).
My partner had a slow-roast cherry tomato ragu with fresh papadelle, this had received a lot of care but was a little heavy.
Service was cheerful, if a ~little~ slow, the beer was well-kept and It’s not their fault if the Cornish ale scene is on the dull side!

Such a stunning location! I loved the harbour view. The food is incredible, I am gluten-free and these pizzas were some of the best I've had. My partner had a 'Feeling Clucky' and loved it. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they explained how everything was prepared so I felt safe eating with my allergy. We had a cider flight which was such a fun and unique experience and an even better price. The food came out fast and was the perfect end our day. Would highly recommend to everyone!

We booked Above The Bay 1 month before our big day due to a venue change, and I must say, they absolutely smashed it.

The process of getting everything sorted was stress free, professional and accommodating!

The staff and events team are Incredible, not only are they excellent at what they do, they have fun doing it. Nothing is too much and they always went above and beyond.

Sophie made the whole process headache free and clear when planning our reception.

I’ll break it down some more below:

The Venue: Modern, spacious, light and amazingly situated (the views are the best around)

The food: with the venue change our wedding breakfast menu changed also, but this wasn’t a problem and they came up with a fantastic, delicious menu and it was a hit with all our family and friends, high praises all round!

Parking: Plentiful, with an overflow if needed AND brilliantly placed disabled spaces.

Staff: As said above, we know hospitality can be hectic and stressful, but all of them were fantastic and happy to be there, they really have a great team dynamic and they’re super attentive.

Facilities: Clean, fresh and modern toilets and well appointed accessible WCs.

I could go into super detailed, but if you’ve read this far take my word for it, if you’re planning a wedding in Falmouth, don’t look anywhere else, pop up for a drink and take the venue in, you will want to have your special day here.

We walked into town to have dinner and drinks. The special of the night for happy hour was “buy one get one free “ from 5-6p.m. This was their Tuesday special and we were glad to see this deal. The food was very good, we both ordered their cheeseburger and fries. Both were very good and large portions. The vibe there was good, many locals there to eat and drink. They have a nice patio for the warmer days. Service was very good, and ambiance of the place is warm and cozy. There was a parking lot right close to where this restaurant is located.\nThe town is very nice and we felt safe returning to our hotel after dinner though taxis were a reasonable price if we had changed our minds. The restaurant organized rides for our friends who preferred to drive because of mobility issues. \nI think the staff were exceptional in their jobs!

Booked for steak & lobster night but had a text saying that due to recent bad weather there would be no lobster. We both had scallops & black pudding for starters,I had crab & prawn linguine,other half had lamb followed by sticky toffee pudding. The menu gave choices to suit everyone and all is overseen by an experienced chef. Table arrangements were perfect, with friendly and accommodating staff under exceptional management! I liked the UI of the tablets which was straight forward. The fish and chips were delicious. Chips were too fat for my taste but I did managed to fish a few crispy ones. The negative part is that it's quite expensive and you don't even get any souce in this price. That is extra and also super expensive. Paid over £4 for 1 ketchup and Mayo.

Walked in on the off chance we might be served and the young waitress was incredibly helpful. After checking with the chef, we were offered a customised menu to handle my gluten intolerance. Food was served promptly and didn't disappoint. Whilst the dessert option was only a gf brownie it was one of the best I've had. Salted caramel flavour and gooey as a good brownie should be. Served warm with two shops of ice cream.
Also discovered after they are happy to do takeaway, which is handy if you're staying in Pendra Loweth.

Went to Fives to watch the rugby, so good that they are now showing all kinds of sports. TVs located all around so you can always see. Delicious pizza with new and different pizzas regularly added to the menu which keeps it fresh. Had the Brisket one on this visit which was perfect and then obviously a few cyders. During the sport, staff were roaming around with tablets to take orders and the food and drinks arrived so quick.

Visiting the area for my birthday meal and this place exceeded our expectations! All staff were very friendly and patient! All food was cooked and served perfectly with very generous portions! Visited for breakfast this Sunday morning. The cafe was busy and buzzy, we were greeted straight away and shown to a table. We assumed there would be a wait on food and drinks as a few people ordered at the same time as us, but service was super fast.

The service here is amazing! We had two lovely people I believe their names are Jessica and Roz! So friendly. Made sure the food was perfect for us! Even brought us extra gravy. First time visiting The Prince of Wales, a very nice relaxing atmosphere, very friendly helpful staff. The prices are very reasonable, the cheese board was lovely, one of the best I have ever had, lots of different cheeses, lots of crackers, chutney’s plus some meats. Along with the pickled onions, olives and stuffed mini tomatoes made for a wonderful feast with my glass of wine that was included. I will definitely be going back there next June when I next visit Cornwall.

The coffee is great, and the staff are very speedy.
The staff at this particular Nero are excellent, they work hard and are very friendly—even to strangers from across the oceans.

Has to be one of the best styled Wetherspoons I have ever been to, and the roof terrace is a massive unexpected bonus. If you are in Falmouth, well wworth trying, as many of the pubs around just don't serve food....

Brilliant service,nice and quick very nice people . We even received some chips qhen we were waiting for our food. We always get our cod and chips from here. They are also open until 2 30 am !!! This is a must qhen you are in Falmouth:)

This is a cask ale lover's paradise. From memory there were 8 cask ales on handpump, from mainly Cornwall breweries (London Pride was the exception). I only had time to sample two of them (NOT London Pride ?) but I wish I'd been able to stop longer.
It didn't look as if they served food but some drinkers were eating from takeaway trays, so perhaps you can bring your own takeaway food into the pub.

Hands down the best traditional Carbonara I've tasted in the UK. If I had the option I would be having it every single day, absolutely no regrets.
Service was amazing and personal without being forced, just human and natural.

Visited in a Friday eve whilst visiting Falmouth - hadn’t booked & we’re lucky to get last table for 2 available. \n\nOur service Mia welcomed us with great enthusiasm & friendliness… decor is quirky with old movie posters & a shelf stacked with old VHS films with Creature for the Deep playing on a small screen - we loved the vibe. \n\nI had Cheeseburger which was fantastic, my wife had pulled pork burger which she said was best she’d had. We shared some fries which was a decent portion. \n\nFully recommend a visit if in town - if you like burgers (also have vegi option) you won’t be disappointed
