It’s Waffle Time
Unit 54, Trinity Enterprise Centre, Ironworks Rd, Barrow-in-Furnessi ordered from here an hour ago and the food was amazing we got the food no later than 25mins after we ordered and when it came we had to give it time to cool down because it was still piping hot. i myself got half rice half triple cooked chips with the butter chicken on top from the loaded bowls and it was absolutely delectable it had the perfect ratio of rice to chips and the chicken along with the sauce itself was amazing. my mum got the cheesy halloumi loaded bowls and it was absolutely rammed full and i stole a bite of it the flavours were amazing i highly recommend both of them.

Abbey Mill Coffee Shop
Abbey Approach, Barrow-in-FurnessWe had lovely homemade Mediterranean soup and bread roll with butter. Excellent.
This building was originally a mill, then a house. Unfortunately, it then went on fire in the 1990s. However, it is now a lovely, friendly coffee shop / cafe with homemade cakes and scones.
The original roof beans are still there, although badly burnt, it is strange now as the roof of the building is now holding up the original burnt beams from a steel structure.
This is well worth a visit and handy when you visit Furness Abbey next door, which is also lovely. What a place Furness Abbey must have been in its day.

The Meeting Place
121, 123 Duke St, Barrow-in-FurnessI booked The Meeting Place for my 40th birthday party and it was a great night! From initially reaching out to Mel on the FB messenger page, to turning up for the night and having Imogen look after us, the whole thing was faultless.I ordered pizzas as part of the catering and they managed to deliver on vegetarian options, vegan options, lactose free options, and gluten free options, which is no mean feat!I was told I could book a DJ, or make my own playlist on Spotify and play it through the sound system. I chose the latter and that was also made super simple to set up by the staff! On the night all the staff were super friendly and attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. All in all, I had a fabulous experience from start to finish and they really made my big birthday celebrations feel special.I would highly recommend for any future events you might have!

Diggle's
181 Dalton Rd, Barrow-in-FurnessReally nice breakfast, decent price. Friendly staff, especially when my son knocked his drink everywhere. Glad we found this place rather than go to another well known chain down the road. Would return. Cakes looked amazing. Decor was really dark though, that’s the only thing I would change. Didn’t eat my egg, as I prefer scrambled which didn’t appear to be an option.

Anchor Fish Bar
11 Anchor Rd, Barrow-in-FurnessMost local takeouts have a very very limited vegetarian option but the Anchor Fish Bar offer fried bean curd (tofu) as an option, so you can at least get some protein with your vegetarian meal. The fried bean curd, veg and Szechuan sauce that I got was delicious and I will definitely be tempted to go back. \n\nAlso the staff were friendly and helpful despite being really busy and the phone ringing constantly.

Pizzarella
Promenade, Walney Island, Barrow-in-FurnessAmazingly tasty food! Me and my partner ordered from here last night, we got a munchy box and it was honestly THE best munchy box I’ve ever had! The pizza was the best pizza I’ve had from any other takeaway! Chips & donner meat were also delicious. It did take an hour but after tasting the food I can see why it took abit longer! if you’re contemplating ordering from here but not sure if you want to take the risk… Take it! You won’t regret it! Best takeaway in town in my opinion.

50 Cavendish St, Barrow-in-FurnessI ordered the Monster burger and loaded fries via Barrow Eats for delivery. Sadly my order was delivered to the wrong person and they took it. After a quick call, they sorted it for me and my order was promptly delivered again. Barrow In Furness Brewers Fayre
North Rd, Barrow-in-FurnessWanted to make the effort to leave a positive review for these guys. We have been a couple of times and they are consistently helpful and friendly. They make an exceptional effort to make the experience of eating out with young family enjoyable. \n\nOn this particular occasion on Friday 26th September 25, the front of house staff were great. 2 ladies and a scottish bloke service were really busy. They were still thoughtful enough to prioritise our little boys food over a large party (thanks too, to the kitchen staff for agreeing to do so!). They continually chatted to him as they walked past to serve others. \n\nThank you for your help. Great service well done.

Hindpool Rd, Barrow-in-Furnesswe had a great experience with this pub when first walking in we were greeted very kindly by a member of staff, which is always good for a first impression. we then had requested a quieter area due to sensory needs so it was so great for this to be accommodated for. when ordering food and drinks Jordan pitcher was absolutely great. we had some specific needs for our food orders which he handled with no issues and did not feel any judgment which is always great. the food was also great and cooked perfectly for all of our needs. the manager at the pub was also super kind and had checked on us a few times to make sure we were all ok but did this without hovering which was super appreciated.

Victoria
Oxford St, Barrow-in-Furnesswhat an excellent experience we have had in one of your GreeneKing Pubs recently.\n\nLast weekend and for the first few days of of the week we were visiting family to help with a new born child and would often visit The Victoria Tavern on Oxford Street in Barrow for evening meals and to relax.\n\nEvery visit we had the landlord/Manager Will was very friendly, playful with the kids and an excellent advocate for GreeneKing in every way.\nEven when one of the meals came out wrong, there was no fuss just a freshly cooked replacement meal followed by many an apology.\nThe pub was very clean and always seemed to have a very positive, welcoming atmosphere with lots of locals all treated like old friends with playful banter and laughs a plenty.\n\nEdward the chef while being loud was also very friendly and helpful as was Lauren and Jayden but it’s very easy to see that it’s the manager that is glue that binds the team in to a well drilled, well coached team.\n\nWe did try to speak to Will on our last visit but unfortunately he’d gone home by the time we finished our meal and drinks.

The Crown
Crown Hotel, N Scale, Walney, Barrow-in-FurnessGood honest food. It's still nice to see classic pub food on a menu. If I could mention anything, the food lacked a little flavour. That's probably down to personal preference. Another observation was that we felt a little rushed to place an order and relinquish our table. This was mainly because it was a busy Saturday evening. Overall, the experience was good and we enjoyed the evening.

Diamond
Dalton Rd, Barrow-in-FurnessHaving lived locally all my life I can't believe this is my first visit here due to some vouchers from work.\nWe opted for the 2 set menus as it seemed much better value and the whole night would have been if I didn't order wine which pushed up the bill but no more than it would elsewhere.\n\nSometimes with set menus you get smaller portions to compensate for the many courses-not here!! Large portions with plenty of meat as well. No skimping going on.\n\nExcellenet food and service. Will be back.\n\nOnly two downsides to our visit, the first being the noisy portable aircon units behind our table. The restaurant needs to invest in a permanent solution. The second being my main judging by the menu descriptions should have been hotter than my soup which it wasn't, it was srill tasty but lacking the kick I expected.
