Dean, WorkingtonLovely pub, really friendly service. We had a booking time mix up and they still accommodated us with great flexibility. Food was pretty good. The half cow pie is still big (forget the full portion) though the thick pastry wasn't the best for us. Broccoli was overdone but carrots were perfect. Would definitely recommend.

2 Market Pl, CockermouthThe mixed platter starter was amazing (could've used more on the platter!), pizza was nice and the gelato was amazing. The tiramasu was so delicious I've never seen my boyfriend so happy/content whilst eating it! The Italian fruit soft drinks are also to die for. Service is brilliant, lovely restaurant. Couldn't have asked for more.

11 South St, CockermouthWe had a brilliant Saturday night at Shills. There was a bagpipe player for Burns Night who was great. The food was fantastic and the staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Looking forward to going back again soon and trying more of the menu.

The Belle Vue, Papcastle
Papcastle, CockermouthBooked a table for myself and family to eat here today for Sunday lunch.
Food was exceptional, we ended up treating ourselves to starters mains & desserts! (Didn’t get pics of starters as was too tempting to eat first!)
We met the new manager Debbie, who gave us a very warm welcome and herself & the rest of the lovely staff couldn’t do enough for us, catering to the young children we had aswell!
Table was set up with high chairs etc everything was lovely & clean, baby changing and accessible toilets available
We will certainly be back and would recommend for all to try!

Domino's Pizza - Cockermouth
23 Station St, CockermouthI have been to lot of Domino's but Mr. Praveen and Mr. Shiva was exceptionally customer centric and took our order with great care. Next time, we're at Lake District, we will definitely come back to this Domino's. Extremely satisfied. Keep up the good work.

Lamplugh Rd, CockermouthWell what can I say.. its a Greggs.. with all the usual standard things they do. I thought this one was rather pricey though. I don't go to greggs that much but I thought I wa rather expensive fir what it was. As I said it's been probably a couple years since I went to Graggs last. Not a huge fan, got a sandwich from the fridge like a prawn baguette was around 3.75ish. I doubt I'd be visiting again as everything seems to be getting really expensive now.

The Moon & Sixpence
29 Main St, CockermouthTiny coffee shop but was told its the best in Cockermouth. It probably is, but we had better coffee elsewhere in the lakes. We are 'coffee snobs' and we usually sniff out small indie coffee shops, and the moon & sixpence defo has that vibe. We stopped in twice, so definitely not saying the coffee is bad, just being realistic about our expectations based on previous reviews. We took a slice of vegan cake which was very nice and I also bought a bag of locally roasted beans which I love to do. They were very very busy, so not the most relaxed smiley environment, as experienced elsewhere. Look forward to cracking open my beans :-)

Wheatsheaf Inn
Low Lorton, CockermouthVisiting the lake discrict for a couple days and got recommended by our host to this pub, Drink and a late dinner.
Very impressed with our roast dinners with friendly attentive service.
Probably one of the best roast dinners we have had out, beef and Yorkshires - spot on.
Only suggestion is a wider selection of lagers.
Very pleased overall, Would 100% return if in the area and reccomended.

BLOCKS Steakhouse
Market Pl, CockermouthI had meatball special starter and a fillet and my boyfriend Danny had a sticky Cumberland sausage starter & blocks mixed grill special. Everything was cooked perfectly! The chips were best ever (I'd go back just for them) The wine selection was fantastic, even squeezed in dessert!

Norham House, 73 Main St, CockermouthVisited again today for lunch - Popped in and reserved a table first friendly and helpful. Then went back a couple of hours later. I opted for pie of the day with peas and gravy, it was on the specials board with chips, but foregoing the chips wasn't a problem.
The pie was home made jammed full of beefsteak and both tasty and filling

Julies Sandwich Place, 73 Main St, CockermouthCalled in here yesterday for a takeaway lunch, ham salad baguette. Lovely fresh ham and plenty of it, with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onion, coleslaw and mayonnaise with a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Husband had a savoury tuna baguette with all the salad. Best baguette I have ever had!

35 Station St, CockermouthWe had a large mixed meat kebab, which was outstanding, and my partner had a pizza which she really enjoyed. Easy to order and prompt delivery. They even allowed us to order and pay cash on collection, which is very handy! Will definitely order from Pedro's next time we are in Cockermouth ?

Oakhurst service station, Lamplugh Rd, CockermouthOften use Starbucks Cockermouth, usually just a coffee or something along those lines.
Staff always friendly and clearly working hard to serve, clean tables, check condition of toilets etc.
On occasion it can be hard to find a table..you see people sitting with laptops open, empty cups working.
A member of staff even mentioned some sit like this for hours which hogs tables for others.

Lovely cosy pub, reassuringly busy lunch service going on whilst there with a tight amiable team ticking things over effortlessly. Had the steak and ale pie which was deelish.

The Manor House Hotel Cockermouth
Crown St, CockermouthGolf break for 4 guys with 3 cars.
Comfortable twin rooms, very tasty breakfast and helpful staff helped us locate car parking spaces at 7pm ish on our arrival.
Hidden spaces rear of the building.
Less than 3 minutes walk to The Bush Inn for great beers and pub grub (steak pies) on our 2nd night.
Will certainly return and recommend to family and friends.
Staff all very helpful and friendly in all parts of the hotel.
Rooms: Comfortable twins.

7A Station St, CockermouthWe had a wonderful 3 course meal yesterday evening. The food was absolutely delicious and probably the best we have had in Cockermouth to date. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Fika and hope to return again in the future. Our waiter was attentive but not intrusive and having heard we were celebrating our anniversary discounted a bottle of wine which was very much appreciated.

The Bitter End
15 Kirkgate, CockermouthOnly place open in Cockermouth the night we needed to eat and luckily we found this place. Just got in between the early evening rush and food service shut down (quite early but I think Cockermouth is like Brigadoon...asleep most of the time!) Pub is good but I wouldn't recommend the town!
