Yarde Orchard Cafe & Accommodation
East Yarde, Peters Marland, TorringtonWhat a great spot. Stayed Saturday night. Arrived after a 3 hrs cycle with mix of adults and kids. Had lovely beer and Sam's cider in the garden. Accommodation is a bunk house but is very clean and comfy and great value for money. Netflix and loads of board games. We had dinner which we pre ordered that was lovely. The owners made lovely meat and veggie lasagne. Really nice people. Would highly recommend.

Sandford's Bakery
6 Potacre St, Great Torrington, TorringtonWhat a fabulous bakery. We stopped by for coffee and cake, and there was a constant stream of people in buying cake, pasties and bread. We had the most ginormous cream doughnut and a delicious piece of simnel cake. Yum!

The Old Farmhouse Kitchen and Tearoom
East Dodscott Farm, TorringtonMy sister and I took a friend there for her birthday. We had a traditional tea. Oh boy it was so good and so much delicious food, fabulous homecooked soup, sausage rolls, cakes, chocolate and scones, prawn cocktail, fabulous sandwiches. We will be back.

The Torrington Arms
170 New St, Great Torrington, TorringtonArrived wet, cold, tired and bedraggled while riding a January 200k. Above and beyond, we were able to bring our bikes into the garage to keep them secure.
We were short of time and yet were made very welcome, served a delicious Sunday roast promptly and were able to thaw and dry out by a lovely fire. It was hard to leave!
Will definitely visit again.

Well St, Great Torrington, TorringtonAbsolutely fantastic roast dinner carvery at The Cavalier Inn! The food is high quality and beautifully cooked, with generous portions and all the classic roast favourites done to perfection. Whether eating in or taking away, the standard is always excellent.
The service is great ,friendly, attentive and welcoming and the drink selection is really nice with plenty of choice. Prices are very reasonable for the quality you receive, and the atmosphere is warm and relaxed, making it a lovely place to spend time.
I have no doubt in recommending The Cavalier Inn to family and friends alike. Well done to the whole team for making this a really lovely pub to come to in Torrington. We will always be happy to return!

Whilst their menu is pretty limited for those who need gluten free (like my wife), they are knowledgeable about their ingredients and are happy to cater for us. The gluten free ribs, made with a sweet & sour sauce, are just as good as the BBQ ribs. Several other good dishes are available too. \n\nOrders are usually ready pretty quickly and by the promised tine. Prices are decent, the only slight downside is it's cash only, but not a biggie if you're expecting it.
