Ugborough, IvybridgeWe have been staying at the Caravan Club site just outside Modbury. Ate here tonight. Absolutely fantastic food, very helpful and accommodating staff. Couldn’t do enough. Highly recommend!!!! Also very dog (and child although we didn’t have any) friendly.

43 Fore St, IvybridgeWe had curries, onion Bhajis and keema naan bread deliver to our home from Nandon in Ivybridge. The food was really superb and still hot when it was delivered. Also, there was a generous amount of chicken, lamb and prawns in the curries. We’ll be definitely be ordering again very soon.

Cornwood Inn
The Square, Cornwood, IvybridgeVisited the Cornwood Inn yesterday for the first time and had the Cajun chicken salad. Huge portion delivered to my table and have to say was the best salad I’ve eaten from any pub I’ve visited. Bar staff really friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend to anyone and will definitely be visiting again

Pizza Kebab Express

I’ve been ordering takeaway from here, for a he past year and not once they have failed to impress me . they deliver out to Avonwick and every time it arrives the delivery drivers are so friendly and it is no different inside . The food is so much better compared to their neighbouring takeaways which are Ali babas and pizza loca who have disappointed many times . Would strongly recommend coming here or ordering from here.

Church St, Ermington, IvybridgeAs for recommendations , well it’s just a yes! Tonight I had the best steak that I’ve ever had and that’s anywhere between Scotland and Lands End. So accommodating with reference to intolerances. I have Celiac and also a lactose intolerance and felt that the The First and Last Bistro were extremely accommodating,nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much. Can’t wait to come back.

Lee Mill Bridge, IvybridgeI stopped there for breakfast after my friend recommended it and I'm glad I did. I had breakfast with coffee and it was delicious. I was in the area again the next day, so had to go back for another breakfast there!

Rochelle's River Cafe
16, Glanvilles Mill, IvybridgeWent for brunch and it was very busy but the service was excellent. I ordered the big breakfast which was cooked to perfection, thick bacon, tasty sausages, perfect fried eggs, hash browns were extra crispy and tasty, everything on the plate was delicious, even the baked beans which i dont normally eat and best of all it was hot and stayed hot until i finished it. I also had mocha which was creamy and rich and in a large mug, a really good hot drink. The wife had the ham and cheese croissant which she said was yummy and loved the mix of bechamel and cheddar cheese. Service was quick and ever so friendly. The food and drink was reasonably priced and well worth it for the quality. We sat right next to the rivers edge which lovely. Would be incredible on a hot summers day. We will be back soon. Thankyou

Golden Bridge

However, the special curry could have been thicker and slightly spicier, the chips were overcooked frozen chips so not great and even though the ribs tasted ok I have seen more meat on a butchers pencil. Nice big L shaped couch in the waiting area otherwise quite a melancholy, vacuous space.

White Hart Hotel
2 Church St, Modbury, IvybridgePopped in on the way to Salcombe, what a fantastic find!! Had a couple of beers and I had a steak sandwich whilst my mate had Bubble & Squeak, both of which we enjoyed, my steak was perfect, which if I'm all honest I was sure whether to pick, but, was effortless to eat, side of crisps as well. Very friendly staff, chatty etc, it was quiet when we arrived as around 3, or just before, but I can imagine this would be quite lively especially if the food is to go on. Definatley visit again if I pass, but would recommend it

We've been passing this place in the car for years and years and we're so pleased that we eventually booked up! We will definitely be back!

The Westward Inn
Lee Mill Bridge, IvybridgeI met up with friends to try this place as it's between where we all live. I phoned in advance to check they served food all day Saturday (they do) and to ask other questions because of my disabilities.
There aren't any disabled bays in the large car park, which is a shame, but it was empty enough that I was able to park at the end of a row to be able to open my door fully.
I was told about the ramped disabled entrance on the phone, although I braved the side steps in the end. The garden at the side has plenty of seating for me to be able to rest on the way back to my car.
My friend went to the bar each time to order drinks and food, and the staff sounded friendly from where I was sat.
The meals were a great portion size and cooked well. The jam sponge was particularly delicious! Unfortunately, we still had the main course plates on the table when dessert arrived, but the staff member took this away with her when she brought the desserts out.
This is a pub that also has a disabled toilet/baby change, next to the normal toilets. It's not all that often you see this, so along with the ramped access at the front, it's a definite plus. Unfortunately, the newer garden at the side is over where the disabled bays previously were, so it would be good to have a couple put in again.
As we arrived for 3pm, it was very quiet, but we were happy in our own little world catching up. More people came in for food as we were leaving.
I'd happily go to this pub again, especially for food. The fish batter was crisp, the chips had a little crunch and the garden peas were more than plentiful. The tartar sauce was also very good.
One tiny thought - another vegetarian option would have gone down well for one of my friends, but first world problems.
Overall, we were very happy here.

The Ivy Fishhouse
42 Fore St, IvybridgeYou know that somewhere is good if it is full of locals! This place was busy, but it still did not take long to be served. They were very cheerful and helpful, and the hot chips were lovely. Unfortunately, they were unable to help with combining Vegan food with wheat free, so we were only able to eat the chips. But they were very kind in checking to see if they could offer us more. We'd pop in for the chips again next time we were in the area, but would have to look elsewhere for a full meal, as it needs to be Vegan AND wheat free for us.
