Cornwood Inn
The Square, Cornwood, IvybridgeWent for the first time for a Sunday roast with my dog and two friends, not only was the atmosphere lovely, but the staff were all very friendly, chatty and polite. Food was amazing. Genuine lovely traditional style pub. We will definitely be returning. Only 15 mins from plympton too!

I’ve been ordering takeaway from here, for a he past year and not once they have failed to impress me . they deliver out to Avonwick and every time it arrives the delivery drivers are so friendly and it is no different inside . The food is so much better compared to their neighbouring takeaways which are Ali babas and pizza loca who have disappointed many times . Would strongly recommend coming here or ordering from here.

The First & Last Bistro
Church St, Ermington, IvybridgeWhat a gem! Would give more stars if we could. My husband and I celebrated his birthday here and wow are we glad we did! Was easy to enquire about booking online via their website and were phoned back next morning to confirm booking which was a nice touch (I'm not a fan of automated impersonal email confirmations, much nicer to speak to an actual person).
We walked in to a wonderful warm welcome from Sue and Abi and found a beautiful place to dine with a lovely fireplace and cosy atmosphere that was homely and also spotless. There's a fab wine menu and extensive selection of other beverages including some decent zero alcohol options. Then there's the food which tonight was cooked by Andrew....absolutely divine! All 3 courses were perfectly cooked, generous in size and with outstanding flavour. We were particularly impressed with the Monkfish and King Prawn Thermidor which was the best I've ever had anywhere (and even better than Rick Stein's lobster one I've had in the past). The sticky toffee pudding was light and decadently covered with oodles of toffee sauce and a more than ample scoop of creamy top quality vanilla ice cream too. Every dish we had was truly memorable. Combine that with lovely, friendly attentive service too and we've found our new favourite place to dine. Thank you for making a special occasion even more special. We've already booked again and can't wait to come back! Tania and Steve xxx

The menu is great and good selection of drinks. Prices are very reasonable. We need to come back and try the big steaks! There is a pool table and friendly people!

However, the special curry could have been thicker and slightly spicier, the chips were overcooked frozen chips so not great and even though the ribs tasted ok I have seen more meat on a butchers pencil. Nice big L shaped couch in the waiting area otherwise quite a melancholy, vacuous space.

16, Glanvilles Mill, IvybridgeWhat a lovely welcome local café, the staff and supper friendly and welcoming. The food is out of the most world too. Been here a few times now, so great for a late breakfast or a stop when out walking and a cheeky cake. There is 3 choices of seating, outside the café under the covered walk way, inside the café or in the back covered area where you can open a sliding door and hear the river go bye. Dog friendly and wife friendly too.

Plantation House
Totnes Road, Ermington, IvybridgeWe dined here to celebrate a birthday and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The hotel is charming, the food was fantastic, and the staff superb - just the right mix of available but unobtrusive. Some of our party stayed at the hotel and were equally positive. Highly recommended.

Lee Mill Bridge, IvybridgeI met up with friends to try this place as it's between where we all live. I phoned in advance to check they served food all day Saturday (they do) and to ask other questions because of my disabilities.
There aren't any disabled bays in the large car park, which is a shame, but it was empty enough that I was able to park at the end of a row to be able to open my door fully.
I was told about the ramped disabled entrance on the phone, although I braved the side steps in the end. The garden at the side has plenty of seating for me to be able to rest on the way back to my car.
My friend went to the bar each time to order drinks and food, and the staff sounded friendly from where I was sat.
The meals were a great portion size and cooked well. The jam sponge was particularly delicious! Unfortunately, we still had the main course plates on the table when dessert arrived, but the staff member took this away with her when she brought the desserts out.
This is a pub that also has a disabled toilet/baby change, next to the normal toilets. It's not all that often you see this, so along with the ramped access at the front, it's a definite plus. Unfortunately, the newer garden at the side is over where the disabled bays previously were, so it would be good to have a couple put in again.
As we arrived for 3pm, it was very quiet, but we were happy in our own little world catching up. More people came in for food as we were leaving.
I'd happily go to this pub again, especially for food. The fish batter was crisp, the chips had a little crunch and the garden peas were more than plentiful. The tartar sauce was also very good.
One tiny thought - another vegetarian option would have gone down well for one of my friends, but first world problems.
Overall, we were very happy here.

2 Church St, Modbury, IvybridgePopped in on the way to Salcombe, what a fantastic find!! Had a couple of beers and I had a steak sandwich whilst my mate had Bubble & Squeak, both of which we enjoyed, my steak was perfect, which if I'm all honest I was sure whether to pick, but, was effortless to eat, side of crisps as well. Very friendly staff, chatty etc, it was quiet when we arrived as around 3, or just before, but I can imagine this would be quite lively especially if the food is to go on. Definatley visit again if I pass, but would recommend it
