Restaurants in Lewdown
Alder Vineyard
Lewdown, OkehamptonThis was our first visit and was recommended by friends.
They extorted how lovely the place was, and how delicious the food was.
They were right about both.
It was our 33rd anniversary and just wanted a little of something memorable.
The Winemakers sharing platter was just lovely. A combination of meats, cheeses, bread & crackers, olives, balsamic pickled onions, roasted nuts, grapes and a dark country chutney. Altogether wonderful! Add to that a green side-salad and a bowl of Rosemary chips, and you a Meal fit for the occasion.
Fantastic staff, a beautiful view, and a great ambience.
We will be back, and very soon.

National Trust Lydford Gorge Tea Rooms
1 Southgate, Lydford, OkehamptonNot my first visit but once again well worth it a quick trip down to the Devils Cauldron which always raises the heart rate and then tea and cakes . Loads of parking and friendly staff, pity that’s some dog owners ignore the no dogs sign and take their dog down the Cauldron viewing platform.
