Brilliant food and wonderful service. Excellent value for money. You can really tell the food is made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, it was absolutely delicious. Lou and Simon were so polite, attentive, and very professional. I would highly recommend! ☺️

A fantastic pub to stay and eat in. Staff were welcoming. Room large and comfortable. Food was amazing, both the evening meal and breakfast were so tasty. Great location for Lydford Gorge or Dartmoor. Would highly recommend.

THE MOST phenomenal meal I have had since becoming a celiac 10 years ago!! Everyone was welcoming and accommodating!!! Never experienced such an amazing atmosphere and incredible food like it!!! I often feel like I’m being a burden when I say I’m a celiac but the staff here just accepted it like any other day!!! INCREDIBLE!!!

Away on a short break, and not knowing the area, we googled dog friendly pubs after visiting Castle Drogo.
Thproughly enjoyed a 2 meat Sunday roast. Great choice of meats on offer. Excellent service. Mafe to feel most welcome. Generous portion sizes. No complaints at all.
Very reasonable and would highly recommend. ?

We are on a Sunday evening and from the moment we entered the pub we were made welcome by the staff and locals. We have a dog and he was made very welcome too, the owners have a Bulldog which is very friendly even with our dog, but he wanders around and doesn’t bother you. \n\nThe meals are fairly priced and the standard and presentation was great. We loved the music and the bartender was proud to tell that he had chosen it.?\n\nWe worth the visit.

Called in here at 2.30 on a Wednesday afternoon after a longish walk. Lovely chatty atmosphere and the wood burner was a welcome sight. The staff were exemplary- welcoming and engaging- selected Dartmoor Zero to drink (my favourite low alcohol ale) and ordered some carrot and parsnip soup with beautiful bread - it was warming and delicious. We were wanting to book a cab to take us back to our car and the staff were so helpful, dialling numbers for us until we found a cab. The menu looked brilliant and we’ll certainly be back for a proper meal.

We went here after a two day trek on Dartmoor and it was just what we needed! The owner is was lovely and friendly and the environment was charming. Great scones and clotted cream with the choice of four different jams. Also the tea was top notch. Would highly recommend!

A Perfect Pub Experience!

We had a fantastic meal at this lovely local pub. The food was exactly what you want from a great pub – hearty, delicious, and full of flavour. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, with a real buzz that made the whole experience even better. The staff were great – warm, friendly, and genuinely attentive from the moment we walked in. A proper gem of a place – we’ll definitely be back!

Stopped off here from A30 for tea and cake. So good. The service was friendly and efficient. Good quality tea and cake and lovely surroundings. We've had several very poor experiences using the services on the other side of the A30 so will definitely be using the Pump and Pedal again in the future.

Food was lovely. Not huge servings. There was a big group of people having their Xmas party so unfortunately a very noisy meal where we struggled to be heard by eachother. It was unfortunate we chose that night but thought a Thursday night would be quiet. I wish we were told when we booked the day before. It woupd have helped to put us and other people in the back area so noise would have been reduced. Ruined the night but will go again hoping a more relaxed night.

Looking for somewhere to have a pub lunch when we stumbled across The Clovelly Inn. Staff were friendly and attentive. Menu was varied and a great selection of drinks. \nWe had scampi, cod and steak and ale pie- all of which were really tasty with lovely chips. Syrup sponge pudding and pecan and toffee meringue were great to finish. Would definitely recommend and will return when visiting family in the area.

What a gem if you don't like this pub then perhaps you should stay at home. The food is outstanding, the staff are top notch and a great value for money. The surroundings are what you would expect from a country pub. The land lord and landlady are perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble.
5 stars plus.

Parking: Parking opposite good.

My family and I had drinks and cakes at Crumbs . The service was really good and cheerful. The cakes that we had were great. If we went back to Oakhampton we would definately call in. We sat outside in the Victorian arcade watching passers by.

Quite a quaint old fashioned pub. Food was excellent and well priced. A warm welcome by the Landlady. Warning, do not think of using their carpark unless you are going into the pub. You need to register your vehicle on the screen inside the pub or you will get a £100 fine (ANPR cameras on site with many warning signs)
