22 West St, OkehamptonAway on a short break, and not knowing the area, we googled dog friendly pubs after visiting Castle Drogo.
Thproughly enjoyed a 2 meat Sunday roast. Great choice of meats on offer. Excellent service. Mafe to feel most welcome. Generous portion sizes. No complaints at all.
Very reasonable and would highly recommend. ?

OFC pizza time
35 Fore St, Okehamptonplease forget about all of your typical pizza chains, this is the best pizza you’ll get at a great price! we arrived too late for our hotels dinner slots so we had to look for options outside of the resort and we couldn’t be happier. super fresh pizza, soft dough, great sauce and fab choice of toppings and you get 3 free pots of garlic mayo as well! staff were also very friendly, 100% recommend!

Bridge House, 25 Fore St, OkehamptonA nice restaurant with an odd entrance! Not the most inviting of entrances but the interior was fine if a little bland. I much prefer an Indian restaurant to have a cosy welcoming feel. There is no liquor licence here so you have to purchase your drinks beforehand. The staff were very attentive and the food was great. There were 8 of us with one being gluten intolerant but the staff looked after their needs really well. I'd probably go back if I was ever in the area again but not a definite. Some slight touches of improvement needed.

9 West St, OkehamptonFirst time going here amazed to walk in and see that they sell 18inch pizzas treated mother for tea Donna kebab and chips it was lovely only complaint is having to buy coleslaw separate but pizza deals 7 days a week buy 1get 1 half price I will definitely be returning when passing by

Prewley Hub, OkehamptonStopped off here from A30 for tea and cake. So good. The service was friendly and efficient. Good quality tea and cake and lovely surroundings. We've had several very poor experiences using the services on the other side of the A30 so will definitely be using the Pump and Pedal again in the future.

Crediton Rd, OkehamptonWe were in the area and fancied a carvery. When we called, the lady was friendly and accommodating. When we arrived, was told how easy it was to order. We got our large dinner, and I have an appetite but this very nearly beat me! Super generous portions, all the sides were fresh and hot. We absolutely will be coming back and would very much recommend.

4 The Arcade, OkehamptonMy family and I had drinks and cakes at Crumbs . The service was really good and cheerful. The cakes that we had were great. If we went back to Oakhampton we would definately call in. We sat outside in the Victorian arcade watching passers by.

Folly Gate, OkehamptonQuite a quaint old fashioned pub. Food was excellent and well priced. A warm welcome by the Landlady. Warning, do not think of using their carpark unless you are going into the pub. You need to register your vehicle on the screen inside the pub or you will get a £100 fine (ANPR cameras on site with many warning signs)

17 Caen St, BrauntonVery few places would cause me to take my time and write a thorough review, but The London Inn is definitely worth the time. Not only did we enjoy our nights there on patio meeting such wonderful people, we actually stayed at the “Inn” of London Inn. Very awesome accommodations. Also very convenient to end our travel day with a few delicious drinks and head straight to bed. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere and people outside are great. We literally made no-less than 4 new friends that we will be keeping contact with. Extremely dog friendly (which is so cool). I literally watched this woman come to the bar to get another round of drinks. She went to the restroom and when she got back, not only did she have her drinks ready to go, she had dog treats for her dog. The owner (Marc) had remembered her dog and got ready for her without her even asking. That’s five stars right there.
If you have stuck with this review this long, you have shown your commitment towards this place and I assure you, you won’t be disappointed.

9 Bridge St, Hatherleigh, OkehamptonI had fish chips & peas a couple of weeks ago and it tasted good although the portion size is small. Then I’ve just tried the Chinese and for my taste I was disappointed as it didn’t taste great. The portion sizes are small across the board here.Worth a visit for their chips alone as they’re truly tasty. The staff are clean, polite and helpful.

Moorside, Lydford Nr, OkehamptonThis restaurant was incredible. I am gluten and diary free and notified the restaurant prior to my visit, the waitress brought over a menu that had been adjusted to state everything I could and couldn’t eat and what could be changed to cater for my dietary needs - I have never had such incredible and caring service before. The food was excellent, we were all blown away by it! Could not recommend enough ! Massive thank you to the lovely staff :)

School Hill, LiskeardTHE MOST phenomenal meal I have had since becoming a celiac 10 years ago!! Everyone was welcoming and accommodating!!! Never experienced such an amazing atmosphere and incredible food like it!!! I often feel like I’m being a burden when I say I’m a celiac but the staff here just accepted it like any other day!!! Belstone, OkehamptonWe went here after a two day trek on Dartmoor and it was just what we needed! The owner is was lovely and friendly and the environment was charming. Great scones and clotted cream with the choice of four different jams. Also the tea was top notch. Would highly recommend!

Bratton Clovelly, OkehamptonLooking for somewhere to have a pub lunch when we stumbled across The Clovelly Inn. Staff were friendly and attentive. Menu was varied and a great selection of drinks. \nWe had scampi, cod and steak and ale pie- all of which were really tasty with lovely chips. Syrup sponge pudding and pecan and toffee meringue were great to finish. Would definitely recommend and will return when visiting family in the area.

The surroundings are what you would expect from a country pub. The land lord and landlady are perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble.
5 stars plus.
