10 Phoenix Ln, TivertonWe just spent a week in Tiverton on holiday. Our first stop was breakfast at Elsie May's. Good choice, allowed substitutions, friendly service and quick. Really tasty and reasonably priced. While we were there we noticed they do coffee/tea and a slice of cake for £4 - an absolute bargain these days! We popped back later and had coffee and walnuts cake with a cuppa. Huge slice of cake which was also delicious. We didn't need a lunch that day. It was such a lovely, welcoming place with a good range of well priced food and drink that we visited 4 times during our week. I wish we had a similar place local to us!

12 Bridge St, Tivertona perfect spot for a filling delicious breakfast. our plates were crammed full and still at a really affordable price; we couldn’t believe just how much we got for our money. the iced coffees here are a treat too - being whizzed into a perfect frothy frappe-style drink. if you’re looking for a pit stop that leaves a smile on your face, look no further! the staff even gave us chocolates with our order for christmas!!

Riverside Shopping, Bickleigh, TivertonWe didn't go for the food, we went for the shop, which has some very interesting things. I bought my wife an amazing kaftan, so colorful, nothing like the shades of grey you see in mainstream shops. It is well worth a visit, you will be inspired.

The veggies in one of the dishes were so fresh, flavourful and crunchy the spice was amazing, you could tell all the chicken, veg and sauces have been cooked fresh (unlike nawab using old large batches that taste off) . Even warmed it up the next day and was great still . Hats off to Mumbai kitchen

The White Horse Inn
12 Gold St, TivertonFound this pub on a last minute trip to Tiverton. Walked into a warm welcome and within a few minutes we were chatting to the locals and staff who were very friendly. Spent the rest of Friday in the pub enjoying the cider and great atmosphere and juke box. Went back on the Saturday for more of the same. The customers and staff made us very welcome and we ended up having a fantastic weekend. We will be back in the area soon and this will definitely be our pub of choice. The restaurant is also very wheelchair-friendly, which was perfect for one of our family members. A highlight for us was being able to take home some of their delicious cakes for later. Pete turned up exactly as planned and set up the food for the guests. Both the meat and vegan curries were delicious and very popular with the guests. I would absolutely recommend Ceylon Curry house for catering a large event.

The Red Lion Hotel
Rookery Hill, Oakford, TivertonStayed here for New Years Eve 2024. We chose the pub / hotel for its remote location and lack of fireworks (we have dogs and one is traumatised by loud noises) - from the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. A quintessential English pub with wonderful, nicely designed and spacious rooms and very comfy beds (we had Beech and Birch). The owners and locals were very friendly and inclusive, taking care to make us feel welcome. We felt very well looked after. Breakfast was delicious (full English) and served with locally made tea and coffee (Miles, made in Porlock) and unlimited juice. We are happy that this place is only 50 mins from where we live because we will definitely be back for lunch and will find an excuse to stay again soon, I’m sure… highly recommend. The Flying Pickle
40 Gold St, TivertonOn arriving in Devon for a weeks holiday we stopped in Tiverton to get some food and kill some time till we could get into our accommodation, we took a walk round the town and found The Flying Pickle we went in and were pleased they are dog friendly so we could sit inside. We ordered coffees and scones with jam and clotted cream. \nThe Scones came out warm and huge and delicious with good coffee. \nThe staff were lovely and brought biscuits over for our dog. \nDefinitely worth a visit if you’re visiting Tiverton.
