2 The Square, Stamford Bridge, YorkI'm compelled to say this very unassuming place is calorie heaven. We stopped in her eon the way to York and ate delicious brownies, not something I'm usually compelled to try. There was also a varied menu of sandwiches and pies, which looked tasty.

Elvington Industrial Estate, York Rd, Elvington, YorkWe both chose a Mega Bap which was filled with sausage, egg, bacon, mushroom, tomato and beans. Went down very well accompanied by a lovely chat with the man that works there. Would recommend this as a good value friendly place to eat.

3 Common Rd, Dunnington, YorkHaven't been in for a while. This place was lacking a bit of care. But now it's all changed! The whole place got new decor and the TLC it should have had. Tonight we tried their food and this is a place you need to come back!
The steak board (serves 2) got all the elements you usually have with a steak dinner. Everything was fresh and vibrant. The steaks were cooked just right. Salad and coleslaw and veggies were fresh. Chips and oinion rings were crispy but not greasy. 3 sauces were all sort on. Very generous portions so make sure you come in with an empty stomach.
Definitely will come back!

No. 10 Cafe Bar & Bistro
10 The Square, Stamford Bridge, YorkWe came here for an early dinner and it was a great find. Don't be put off by the rather uninspiring frontage of the shop, the inside and patio area / garden are a delight and quite the sun trap. We had salads, cocktails and beers; all were served by friendly staff in a timely fashion. The food was tasty (Hallumi salad for me) and enough to fill me up. I would definitely eat and drink here again.
