Brookside, Hovingham, YorkWe have passed many times but it was the first time we have stopped and we will definitely stop again. It always seems busy outside in the summer as has seating. I had some lovely butternut squash so with a roll and my daughter had a coronation chicken sandwich. Both we very tasty, as was the white chocolate and cranberry cookie we shared. Brought a loaf of bread home to have over Christmas. Has a toilet too which was a bonus as not a cafe and my daughter got her favourite jam too!!

Main St, Hovingham, YorkThis is special. Terrific lovely service from front of house. Brilliant wine pairing. And course after mind boggling course that shouldn't work but does. No wonder this place went from opening to one star in seven months....
