52 High St, Burnham-on-CrouchThe staff absolutely smashed it last night. I’m gluten free but really wanted the spaghetti vongale so they kindly cooked some gluten free spaghetti for me. It was amazing!!! Then to top it off the pudding selection was not brilliant for me but the manager went and found me two other off menu options. So very kind and I chose the lemon posset which was delicious. The staff all went over and above and we will definitely be returning. Thank you to you all

3 High St, Burnham-on-CrouchGreat American style diner. The food was delicious. The salad bar plentiful, friendly staff- busiest restaurant in the area when we visited for a reason. Would recommend. It may not look like it from the outside but you will be pleasantly surprised!!

Parlour Cafe
Creeksea Place Farm, Ferry Rd, Burnham-on-CrouchVisited Parlour a few times over the recent years. Nice spot and layout. Busy Sunday morning, bacon sandwich was good, nice big pieces but a little salty today. Service a bit slow on food, but as I wrote it was quite busy. Nice coffee but could have been a bit bigger. Quite noisy inside, but plenty of room outside.

169 Station Rd, Burnham-on-CrouchThe Polash in Burnham-on-Sea truly deserves its first class status. From the moment we sat down, the service was as smooth as a perfectly executed cabin announcement, friendly, attentive, and just the right side of chatty. We started with poppadoms and the full line up of garnishes, all beautifully fresh and full of flavour. For my main, I went for the chicken dansak with plain rice and naan a dish so delicious it could easily tempt me to upgrade from economy any day. The flavours were perfectly balanced: rich, tangy, and utterly satisfying. My friends visiting from France were equally impressed, which says a lot, they’re not easily wowed! The waitress was an absolute delight, making the evening feel warm and relaxed without a hint of fussiness. One of the best Indian meals I’ve had in years, I’ll definitely be checking in again for another “in-flight” curry soon.

This was not our first since the new managers and wow the place has totally been turned around! If you haven’t visited this hidden gem you definitely should!

The Star Inn
29-31 High St, Burnham-on-CrouchIt looked popular and the menu was reasonably priced, so we stopped for lunch. It was very nice, the food was good and there was a nice selection of meals. They have omitted the usual choice of Burgers from the menu and included a few fish dishes and Ploughman's lunches instead, it made a nice change.
I think all the ales were Green King, so I had their summer pale ale which was decent and well kept. We ordered a couple of Ploughmans Lunches, a cheese and a ham version, plus a basket of chips it fed our family ok for lunch. The Ploughman's was good, and came with some nice pickles, salads and coleslaw, the French bread was very tasty, I could have done with twice as much though.
It's a nice open pub, with a large outside seating area immediately on to the main waterside promenade. In summer the doors are all open, so the place is nice and bright. There is a tiny section of bar that is kept as 'No Children', and all the old local boys were sitting around in there. Can't blame them, us day trippers must be a noisy distraction all Summer long. There was ample seating elsewhere for families, plus a big side room.

Domino's Pizza -Burnham on Crouch
158 Station Road, Burnham-on-CrouchJust had my faith in human nature renewed.
I called the manager in Branch tonight about a small mix up a week ago. And was told immediately that my entire last order will be replaced. Awesome !!!
Within 25 minutes I believe was the manager at my door with possibly the best pizza I’ve ever had. It was perfect.
The manager is a genuine and professional man also very friendly.
