Yazor Rd, HerefordAs an American traveler exploring Hereford, I happened upon Heggie’s Delicatessen for lunch, and I couldn’t have been more impressed. The place has a charming, welcoming atmosphere with a great selection of fresh, locally sourced food.
I went with the Beef BBQ Boston, and wow—what a fantastic choice! The beef was perfectly tender, packed with rich, smoky flavor, and served on a fresh, hearty roll that held everything together beautifully. The balance of seasoning and sauce was spot on—just the right amount of tang and sweetness. It honestly rivaled some of the best BBQ sandwiches I’ve had back home in the States.
The service was friendly, and you can tell they take pride in their food. If you're in Hereford and looking for a great bite, Heggie’s Deli is an absolute must-visit!

The weather was horrific outside which probably explained why the restaurant was fairly quiet. \nJake was his usual cheery self and always welcoming, especially to our small dog- he brought him some water and gravy bones over which was a lovely gesture. \nWe all ordered burgers, fries and sides from the varied menu, (a couple of vegan choices on there too) which were absolutely delicious. Great selection of beverages on offer too. \nWe had a great time chatting and enjoying our food. \nThe lovely Trinity came to help Jake sort gift voucher process and the loyalty points as there seemed to be a bit of difficulty putting it through. All sorted quickly without any fuss. \n\nMany thanks to the chef too for creating the beautiful food ( sorry I don’t know his name but we saw him working in his station). \n\nHighly recommend the kimchee burger that my friend and I chose- superb ?? also cheese curds and onion rings were phenomenal.

Grandstand Rd, HerefordAs pensioners our first impressions were that this was not really our sort of pub and was noisy with lads playing pool and families out for a good time.\nHowever, having just arrived in Hereford we decided to return in an hour when it maybe quieter.\nWe tried a couple of seat positions for comfort but at each table the washable menu cards were extremely sticky, as we're the tables, which had been cleared but obviously not properly cleaned.\nHowever, the very charming and friendly barmaids, especially Amelia S, made our experience a pleasant one.\nFood was delivered quickly. Although certainly cheap eats we felt we would have preferred to have paid more for a raise in food standard and quality.

The interior is really nice and has a homely feel to it with an outside back area for smoking which is roofed mostly to stop rain. If you're after a quiet pint, id advise going at the start of the week. However if you like the busier times, weekends are always fun and always good for a laugh and hanging out with new people. The staff are wonderful and are very welcoming. I had isla serve me today and greeted me with a warm and bright smile and with exceptional service. Will continue coming here and would advise others to do the same!

The food is wonderful, fresh and beautifully cooked. The staff are helpful, friendly and happy to answer questions. I had the Flying Monkey - delicious and generous. My husband judges all Indian subcontinent restaurants by their 'Special Biriyani' and he voted this the best by far which he had eaten in over 60 years of eating in such restaurants.\nThe decor is modern, quite dark and semi-industrial, so it can be a little noisy if there are parties there. It's a very popular place to eat, and deservedly so. Highly recommended.

The participants in the ceremony were disastrously undisciplined, and no amount of chivvying could get them the pub anywhere near on time. The staff, under Aimee's direction, achieved saintly levels of tolerance and flexibility, even when lunchers couldn't remember what dish they had ordered, and everyone enjoyed the occasion enormously. I recommend all aspects of the inn unreservedly.

We decided to go and it didn’t disappoint - everyone’s meal was fantastic and the service was excellent. Turns out they had the fryer fixed and I was able to have my gluten free fries after all! First time eating here and I was very impressed with the service, the Lady I spoke to over the phone was very polite and helpful, advising us to book as they get busy.
We had the choice of either a lively atmosphere with some music or a nice relaxing dining vibe which is what we went with.
The Lady came and sat down with us to take our order which I thought was pretty cool, it had a very down to earth touch and felt very welcoming.
My girlfriend couldn’t eat a whole fish and chips, but really wanted to try it… so they gave her a smaller variation and charged less, I was very surprised they went out there way to do this for us, it just goes to show how passionate this restaurant is about the level of customer service they provide and cater for many request.
The food was excellent very fresh and tasty, the price was very reasonable.
I will definitely be visiting again soon and I recommend it to anybody looking for a nice evening meal with their partner.
The lad at the bar was also very polite and friendly.

1-3 Bartonsham Rd, HerefordSolid Chinese take out and dim sum spot. There is a wide variety of food here. Steam buns, steam dim sum, pan fried dim sum, rice rolls, fried rice, chow mein, you name it! I haven't tried everything here yet but this is what I know they do good here: -ha gaow (shrimp dumpling) -shrimp and chive dumpling -taro dumpling -taro meat buns -sweet taro buns -bbq porn buns -plain steamed buns -steamed tofu skin roll -skip the siu mai - doesn't taste good It's rare when I'm in the city so when I am, I try to buy enough for a couple days. I also freeze some do the buns before and defrost it the night before and taste just like fresh. I will say you gotta mentally keep tabs of how much you're spending; I feel like they try to be sneaky. I've also ordered two of some things and when I got home. Things are missing. Not sure if they didn't pack it or if they simply got the order wrong. Also, I'm not tripping off 20 cents but they tend to round when giving you change. I was supposed to get back 70 cents and they gave me 50 cents.

Great selection on menu. I ordered the *NEW* WAGYU meatballs arrabbiata ruffled ribbons pasta with chilli.
4 of us shared 2 garlic breads.
All the food was well received by all of us, wagyu meatballs exceptional and as it says it has a spicey sauce.
Nice clean and welcoming decor.
All in all spot on !!!!

Dorstone, HerefordLocated in beautifully country side the oldest pub in Hereford is worth a visit. A warm welcome, great beer and a hearty meal is to be expected. Reservations are recommended but we were fortunate to get a table. Very popular venue for tourist and locals alike. Like our host was very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food was amazing and lathe portions. A child's meal is a small adults and would be fine for someone who doesn't need a big meal. We had the vegan chilli, mac and cheese and steak and ale pie, all were wholesome and filling. Made our day trip to haye on wye. Many thanks to the team at the pandy inn. Six star rating from us. 2, B4348, HerefordI realise the pub is a small local pub and we hadnt booked a table. I had phoned the day before to check the menu as there isnt a clue online. The kind lady read out the menu for me so we had an idea. When we arrived at the pub after a long journey, id say for me it wasnt busy but we could see tables in the restaurant had reserved on, we were happy to eat anywhere in the bar. We got a drink and were told it wouldnt be long for a table. We waited an hour before we were seated and ate. She appologised but it was very late for us to eat at 8pm. The food wasnt great. My lasagne wasnt a lasagne but mince with dried lasagne strips between, no sauce at all and very peppery. The cheese on top was dry. I ate it, as to compalin would cause an issue and we just needed to eat and go to our holiday place to rest then bed. The choice locally wasnt enough for us to leave and go elsewhere. Shame as we were looking forward to a nice meal after a long journey here. My husband had the pie which he said was ok. I felt it was a drinking pub rather than a foody place. The lady was nice enough though.

This place also has decent comfortable seating which makes it easily the best in Hereford and one of the best in the country.

I lived in Cyprus for 3 and a half years and I can hand on heart say I have never had a better Gyros outside of the Med. By far the best plate of food I have had in a long time. Even though it was a Thursday evening in rural Herefordshire, it was still extremely busy.
If you have time, this is great as you have the option of a pint in the Dog or the Temple Bar which are opposite while you wait.
If not, you can phone and order in advance.

They do have excellent music events on which I have attended. From a range of acoustic nights to DNB. They have also just started Sunday roasts 12-4pm. Ordered a small and large cider battered fish (cod) and chips, as you can see from the picture, it looked delicious and it taste as good as it looks.
Premises very fresh and clean looking, staff very polite and attentive, checking if everything was ok.
The fish had a nice bubbly and buttery batter, taste delicious, nice fresh home cooked crispy chips.
Would definitely visit again and would definitely recommend ?
Parking: Multi storey opposite, about 3 minute walk.
Wheelchair accessibility: Nice wide entrance, spacious inside, would easily fit a wheelchair at the table

Dorstone, HerefordLocated in beautifully country side the oldest pub in Hereford is worth a visit. A warm welcome, great beer and a hearty meal is to be expected. Reservations are recommended but we were fortunate to get a table. Very popular venue for tourist and locals alike. Like our host was very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food was amazing and lathe portions. A child's meal is a small adults and would be fine for someone who doesn't need a big meal. We had the vegan chilli, mac and cheese and steak and ale pie, all were wholesome and filling. Made our day trip to haye on wye. Many thanks to the team at the pandy inn. Six star rating from us. Hope to return some day.

Little Cowarne, Bromyard, HerefordStaying nearby we decided to seek out the Three Horseshoes and I am very glad we did. We live in Suffolk and in this part of the world dining out prices have shot up where as portion sizes and service have generally reduced. Not so at the Three Horseshoes. I have a hearty appetite and was full to capacity with the halloumi burger, chips and salad. So much so that dessert wasn't an option. Excellent quality food, served by accommodating and helpful hosts. My wife is a wheelchair user and although the path from the car park was a degree challenging once inside the hosts couldn't have been more helpful. Excellent food obviously not cooked en mass and very reasonably priced. So good we re-visited two days later for more of the same ! Just wish we lived much much nearer.

2, B4348, HerefordI realise the pub is a small local pub and we hadnt booked a table. I had phoned the day before to check the menu as there isnt a clue online. The kind lady read out the menu for me so we had an idea. When we arrived at the pub after a long journey, id say for me it wasnt busy but we could see tables in the restaurant had reserved on, we were happy to eat anywhere in the bar. We got a drink and were told it wouldnt be long for a table. We waited an hour before we were seated and ate. She appologised but it was very late for us to eat at 8pm. The food wasnt great. My lasagne wasnt a lasagne but mince with dried lasagne strips between, no sauce at all and very peppery. The cheese on top was dry. I ate it, as to compalin would cause an issue and we just needed to eat and go to our holiday place to rest then bed. The choice locally wasnt enough for us to leave and go elsewhere. Shame as we were looking forward to a nice meal after a long journey here. My husband had the pie which he said was ok. I felt it was a drinking pub rather than a foody place. The lady was nice enough though.

This place also has decent comfortable seating which makes it easily the best in Hereford and one of the best in the country.
It's a shame that no other Hereford pubs make the effort to stock high quality ciders like Oliver's and Ross cider , most have the usual rubbish from Westons

The weather was horrific outside which probably explained why the restaurant was fairly quiet. \nJake was his usual cheery self and always welcoming, especially to our small dog- he brought him some water and gravy bones over which was a lovely gesture. \nWe all ordered burgers, fries and sides from the varied menu, (a couple of vegan choices on there too) which were absolutely delicious. Great selection of beverages on offer too. \nWe had a great time chatting and enjoying our food. \nThe lovely Trinity came to help Jake sort gift voucher process and the loyalty points as there seemed to be a bit of difficulty putting it through. All sorted quickly without any fuss. \n\nMany thanks to the chef too for creating the beautiful food ( sorry I don’t know his name but we saw him working in his station). \n\nHighly recommend the kimchee burger that my friend and I chose- superb ?? also cheese curds and onion rings were phenomenal.
