Chris, the owner runs through the menu with an exemplary mix of knowledge and passion. The quality of the food was some of the very best we’ve ever tasted. The waiting team were all friendly efficient and added to the whole experience. It’s a long time since we have been so pleasantly surprised at a dining pub this good. Chris deserves every accolade there is.

3 Gloucester Rd, Ross-on-WyeI had an excellent lunch with my wife on my birthday where we enjoyed delightful service from Dani and her colleague. Our meals were outstanding in quality and presentation. My wife had a starter course readily upgraded to a main course which is one of the many endearing features of this great restaurant. We have been many times and we will continue dining there as it is by far the best in the area. I recommend reservations if possible for lunch or dinner as it is frequently full.

Avellino Italian Restaurant
10 High St, Ross-on-WyeI came here with some work colleagues for a start of term meal. We placed our pre order and paid the deposit for the table with no problems at all. We had two people drop out along the way and the restaurant were very understanding of this. \nThe service we received was absolutely wonderful, first class. Very professional, friendly and welcoming. I couldn’t fault the waitresses and waiters who served us, thank you all very much. Particularly to Ruby and Katie who were super helpful and accommodating when we became a little confused with splitting the bill, they were both very helpful and sorted it all out no problem for us. \nThe food was absolutely delicious, fresh, full of flavour, great portions. We all really enjoyed the food, it was perfect. \nThank you to everyone at Avellinos, we will definitely be back and would highly recommend!

All the staff were fantastic but one lad in particular was exceptional. Nathan brought our food out and was so friendly, polite and helpful. I had ordered slightly later than the rest of my group and got stuck behind a big order which meant mine was delayed. When he realised the rest of my table was so far ahead of me receiving their food, he was really apologetic (despite it absolutely being no one's fault but my own) and explained the delay without me even asking. I later overheard him dealing with another customer who was very abrupt with him and he was outstanding. He remained professional, calm and incredibly polite and did everything he could to rectify the issue. Again, all the staff were absolutely lovely, but Nathan really stood out.

Staff were able to amend a dish to exclude certain ingredients. I am vegetarian and there was a huge menu to choose from. Portion sizes were very good and their food was piping hot and presented well. I would highly recommend Zam Zam and we will certainly be back.

Netherton Rd, Ross-on-Wyemy husband and i visited this kfc last friday. very busy and quite a long wait for food but it was all very fresh. toilets were clean. staff very friendly and a credit to the store. the young man with glasses taking orders and making drinks looked well very organised.

Now im a massive critic of cheese burgers but this place well WOW Mouth watering burger with fresh salad and fresh buns
The chips perfectly cooked the chicken nuggets and sausages lets put it this way my kids ate everything and they loved it so we will return to mings 1000% i highly recommend this place and leave a open mind and leave your review for me its 10/10 absolutley lovely and welcoming

Peterstow, Ross-on-WyeWarm and friendly vibe here. Did the pub quiz which was well run and fun, had pizza on 2 visits which was superb: really top class dough and toppings. Good selection of cask and keg beer with a lovely wee Belgian specialist beer selection too. Its absolutely unique selling point is the superb range of natural authentic cider and perry. It’s made in the cider farm behind the pub and is all beautifully made with evident passion. Ask for a taster and advice from the knowledgeable team: you should really try it (there is a small shop behind to take bottles home too) lucky locals to have this gem on their doorstep!

Gloucester Rd, Ross-on-WyeWe take as we find and this was a friendly, clean Wetherspoons in a town.\nThe main draw for us was the air con, as we were staying in Ross on the hottest weekend of the year so far (33.1 degrees on Saturday afternoon and officially the hottest place in England!). \nCalled in here twice during our 3-night stay. Once for afternoon drinks (and the air con!) and a snack (paninis). Quick service at the bar and on the app. Friendly staff too. \nMy tuna mayo panini was great (packed full of tuna) but my OH had the chicken, bacon & BBQ sauce panini, which didn't have a lot of anything in it (a bit poor really!). \nPints were perfectly cold though.\nSecond visit was Sunday morning for breakfast before a long walk along the river in the VERY warm sunshine. Breakfast was good and a great price. Coffee is always good in Wetherspoons.\nFriendly locals, one of which joined us at our table for a chat!

Plenty of parking also with a Spa shop and fuel station.Called in several times over the years and always had a experience.I called in for a bacon sandwich and was served quickly even though there was several people in front of me. Perfectly cooked and very enjoyable.Based on my experience I will definitely return and would recommend.

Orles Barn Hotel
Wilton, Ross-on-WyeWe were staying at a B&B in the area and this restaurant was recommended to us. We are so glad we chose Orles Barn and our experience there was 5* from start to finish, including the friendly waiter hanging up our coats. The food was superb and beautifully presented. We followed the waiter's recommendation of the homemade Toblerone cheesecake for dessert. I can usually take or leave Toblerone and cheesecake, but this was heavenly! It was a wonderful meal and experience.

The Thai food is absolutely to die for, and no place even comes close! \n\nIt’s one of the few meals that you feel disappointed when you start to feel full, as you just want to eat more and more of the delicious food.\n\nI am also coeliac, and there are good selection of food which are naturally gluten free, so a pleasure to have choice here.
