Broadway, Letchworth Garden CityWent for Sunday carvery for a family birthday.
Food and drinks: Booking online was easy and we got parked on-site. On arrival, the staff noted that my Dad was using walking sticks and arranged for us to wait in an alternative area with higher chairs. The wait was very short. We had a booth near to the carvery which worked well for all of us. The carvery was hot, delicious and plenty of it. With a great selection of sauces. We had desserts and drinks - a good selection and no issues with changing custard for ice cream. Good value for money, great service and clean. We can’t comment on the rooms as we did not stay.

The Grapevine Turkish Restaurant

Standard Turkish cuisine with plenty to choose from.
You do not get complementary mezze unlike most Turkish restaurants but the portion sizes are good.
They also have a babby changing facilities in the toilet.

9 Eastcheap, Letchworth Garden CityWow! The portions in this place are amazing! Freshly made pizzas and really flavoursome food. It was perfect. Prices were reasonable; a draft beer, a Coke, olives, pizza, pasta and garlic bread came to £55. We took the remaining home as we couldn’t eat it all. Service was great too. We will be back to try something else on the menu!

The Platform
Station Rd, Letchworth Garden CityThe Platform pub is located close to the railway station where you can get trains to Cambridge, London, Gatwick Airport and Brighton.\n\nThe pub itself is light and airy and there are lots of places to sit and enjoy a drink.\n\nThe lady who served me was friendly and welcoming.

Station Rd, Letchworth Garden CityCame down from county Durham to visit family, from the outset Pete that worked the reception was very helpful, talkative and pleasant, the rooms were clean, the hotel was clean, and the location was actually in a very convenient spot, although the beds were a bit uncomfortable for my liking, that still doesn't warrant a mark down.
He experience based on the nature of the staff and how easy it was to access everything else including the car was spot on.

35 Leys Ave, Letchworth Garden CityThere are plenty of places to get a coffee in Letchworth including chain stores but I wanted to try and shop local so I went to Star Express Cafe.\n\nI received a friendly greeting from the waitress and once I had made my pick she brought it over.\n\nIt was a really nice atmosphere in the cafe and the staff seemed to know a few of the customers so they have regulars.\n\nDefinitely worth checking out if you want a snack, breakfast or some lunch.

8 Arena Parade, Letchworth Garden CityI visited on a Saturday night, they managed to fit us in with no problem (table of 2).
We were seen to straight away and ordered our drinks and some poppadom's. However it then took a while to order our mains due to a huge influx of reservations, 16 people across 3 or 4 tables!
When the waiter came back to take our mains order he was very apologetic.
Indian Royal seems like a very friendly restaurant in that if we lived in Letchworth, we would want this to be our local Indian, several customers seemed to be on first name terms with all the staff! The food was top notch, the service as mentioned above, was great and the prices were very reasonable. Around £40 for 2 mains, 2 naan, 1 rice, 4 poppadom's and drinks. (May 2025)

Fried chicken is so good and such good value. Grilled chicken was so good aswell and you get so much food for your money. Staff always friendly, really happy with the quality of food here

Chicken shish was nicely cooked, doner meat was tasty. Chips nice and crispy. Salad was also good. Chilli sauce seemed to be missing the chilli. Also got a free can of drink thrown in. Portion size was good and very reasonably priced. Bloke behind the counter wasn't the friendliest of people. ?.

She was treating the staff and customers with upmost respect. I had the new raspberry bubble drink. Wow was made so well. Photo below. Unfortunately Costa don't seem to supply a squirt nozzle so the staff can drizzle the sauce. But at my request they did a fantastic job. The music was at sensible level today. Toilets clean and cafe free of litter and tables clean. I enjoyed my visit today.

The room & bed were very comfortable with a decent style.The hotel staff are very friendly giving a very professional service, we will be booking another trip to the hotel this year. Thanks to the staff again.Rooms: Everything work in the room and the bed was of a high quality.Food & drinks: The food & drinks are very good. I had a quality Red Thai Curry and my wife a homemade Chicken Kiev with a accompanying salad.
